Where could he be?

This is geographically kind of .... a lot. Well very hard without a ride.

Crashing on 55 but walking west at 49 and wade is kinda far. Driving it’s only about 15 minutes but walking ? Sheesh.

I just had to map this to try and figure out what might have happened. The 24.6 milepost on Highway 55 Southbound is just south of the Highway 49 crossing. I actually put the marker on the map on the northbound lane of Highway 55, as google maps showed a route to Highway 49 (labelled as E Main St in this section) & Wade Blvd. If Anthony couldn't/didn't cross the median, he might have used either the nearby on or off ramp in the southbound lane to get to Highway 49 & Wade Blvd.

I don't live in NJ, so I am just relying on the NamUs info and google maps. It appears that he had only walked less than a mile, and he was walking towards the center of town?

oops i got 49 confused with 47. But yes. Wade and 49 has a wawa, a Dunkin’ Donuts and is down the street from the highschool.
Those apartments on wade are... not good. My friend lives there on section 8 as a single mom. It’s fairly family friendly during the day but, i personally hated going there and those apartment doors are no joke for a reason. There was a shooting or fight or something there years ago when her kids were decently young and she had to keep them inside while the police were coming or something. But yes. I dislike those apartments. Anddddd there’s a pond across the street.

Not necessarily “gang” activity. There are very few ACTUALLY associated members that I know of, most are playing pretend and know to stay out of the way of actual members.
It’s just how Millville is. It gets kinda uncomfortable at night because they’re so rowdy if you scare easily. But a lot of people walk the streets without incident. I’ve walked the street without incident actually ha. Demographically, more w**d than anything else pushed by random small time people.

And Millville police are no joke. They circle constantly and will pull people over for not immediately dropping speed coming of off 55 which is always a fun time ;) ha.

So it’s HIGHLY doubtful he’s met with foul play in those apartments because it’s so high trafficked with kids and families.
The pond possibly. Or he walked to a rural area which, Um, the unsavory population doesn’t ever utilize as dumping grounds or care.
Now further into town has to take you through some housing areas that are where people walk the streets the most at where it’s kinda dark.

Just putting this out there: All native South Jersyans know Rt 55 is haunted. Its entirely possible the crash caused lethal damage, he walked away and died somewhere. I forgot about this case. When the weather warms up maybe I'll go for a walk down there.

Have been lurking here for a few days. First post. I drive 55 quite often for work and forgot that this happened. I wonder if they ever searched the pond that is in the park at wade and 49. He could have easily stumbled in there.

Since his disappearance, the family has done its own investigating, distributing fliers and visiting homeless shelters in the Millville and Vineland area where some have reported seeing him,LR said.

“They call him Tony D,” she said, recalling one incident at a church soup kitchen about a year after her brother’s disappearance when a man asked her why she had a photo of him. “I said, you know him. He said, yeah, that’s Tony D.”

LR kept hearing that he was spotted at various locations, but the reports didn’t lead to her brother.

More tips followed from people who insisted they had seen him in stores, a park or at the bus station in Vineland. Others reported seeing him in Camden and in the Kensington neighborhood in Philadelphia.

[...]

Her brother had drug dependency issues and previously disappeared for three months before turning up in a Pennsylvania hospital, she said.

LR is confident he survived the crash.
