Some of the really bloodthirsty comments (about what should be done to the perps) almost freak me out more than the crimes sometimes.

Me too, some people come across so violent, its almost as shocking as the crime itself.

Its strange that these comments have come up, especially given the tone of the press release, which I found to be very awkward. I would say irreverent, but that would not be quite right. It just seemed like people were very disrespectful, chatting the entire time, and it did not seem very solemn either.
Are people just so desensitized that they have no empathy?

Hmm, I think you'll have to count me out from 'most'. Some of that stuff in comments is definitely not my idea of 'justice' or how the legal system should work. (I'm not talking about a debate about capital punishment--and please don't start one on my behalf--talking about the gruesome horror-movie-fantasy ideas of 'justice' some of these commenters have. I'd like to think the whole idea is that we--people who don't commit these crimes--are better than that.)

But I can see how this could spin way O/T so ... backing away.

Hawthorne, NJ is ~ 118 miles from Clayton, NJ .. abduction attempt the same day AP went missing.

The white BMX bike that Autumn Pasquale was riding on Saturday when she went missing was just found by police inside a small bungalow on the 300 block East Clayton Avenue, the same house where the 12-year-old girl's body was found Monday night.

Didn't I read last night that the house was abandoned? Is that incorrect?

Investigators just took a white BMX bike out of a house on E. Clayton Ave.

Could this have been an accident, car strikes bike, AP dies at scene and perp hid body and took bike? .. only speculating at this point:

Suddenlink has a story on it's home page showing a teenage boy sitting on the steps of the house crying. The caption said he just rode up, sat down, cried and rode off.

If her bike was found inside the home and there are teenage boys living there, I have a feeling the cops are all over them right now. This may be solved very soon.
