I think it is quite remarkable that there is a number of cases resolved by finding submerged vehicles. Those missing persons have been often so near to home but missing for so many years. Glad to see those resolutions!

It really is an amazing movement! I've been keeping track of the solved and unsolved ones on a website, mapthemissing.com. Bernadine was the first case I featured at the end of last year and had locations marked including the body of water she was found in. It's hard feeling that she could have been found sooner, but i'm glad that she is now.

Just an update, an announcement that the remains found in 2024 were formally identified. Remains of woman missing for nearly 15 years found in car submerged in Cooper River
