Police are asking for help locating a 28-year-old woman whose family has been unable to locate for more than a week.

Carina Mitchell, of Summit Avenue, was last seen at about 5:45 a.m. on Christmas morning. She was wearing a blue coat with fur around the hood, a burgundy sweater, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers, police said.

Mitchell's family said she frequents the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. They are concerned for her well being and are asking for the public's help bringing her home safely.

Anyone with any information about Mitchell's disappearance is asked to call the Jersey City Police Department's Missing Persons Unit at 201-547-5427.

By following through different tweets i came up to a friend of hers who posted regularly searching for her:
she posted that Carina was found 1st Jan and in hospital receiving help.
