'LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – A day after human remains were found in the trunk of a Tesla impounded at a Hollywood tow yard, police confirmed the discovery of another set of remains at a different tow yard.

Detectives responded to a S&J Wilshire Tow in Chesterfield, a neighborhood in South L.A., around noon, and later requested two arson investigators and a police photographer, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.

The body of a partially burnt person was found inside a Honda Civic impounded in the yard around Aug. 25, according to a law enforcement source who spoke to the L.A. Times. '

"The body of the second woman was found Tuesday in South Los Angeles after family members filed a missing persons report. The family had reportedly tracked the woman to a scorched Honda Civic that was being held at a tow yard on West Gage Avenue.

The tow yard operator called the LAPD and said that family members wanted to look at the car, so investigators rushed to the scene and found the woman’s partially burned body in the trunk, according to police."

has anyone found any missing persons cases that could align with this victim?

I could only locate info on a 35 year old woman (would now be 37) name Keara Batty missing from Baltimore MD who was last seen in June 2023 and owned a 2022 blue Honda civic. The woman remains missing as far as I can tell. but that would be a far ways from home and create the question where was she in the interim years? So I doubt that she is our victim in this case.

I'm a little confused... Doesn't the second photo show D4vd's Tesla? I don't see the Honda Civic in it.

No idea about cars and how they look, but the second pic seems to show a very burned car, imo.

The cars were towed to different lots. In the second photo you can see D4vd's Tesla with the frunk open and the yellow tape surrounding the area.

I couldn’t find anyone matching those circumstances on the medical examiner’s site. On that exact date and "in a vehicle", only a male is listed. If I remember correctly, a Hispanic male. I’ll double-check in a bit.

I have been looking as well...coming up empty handed.
Makes me think that either the car was stolen (One of the most stolen vehicles in Cali) or whomever was missing was not seen getting into a Honda Civic for it to be reported.
