Recovered/Located NJ - Chinna Payne, infant, abducted by Damion Payne, May 10, 2021

Just got an AMBER Alert on my iPhone for Chinna Payne, a black female infant. The "suspect" in her abduction, per the alert, is Damion Payne, a 27-year old black man. He is driving a 2016 Nissan Altima, white, with Virginia plate VPF6043. They were last seen in East Orange, NJ, and the suspect is "armed with a handgun" per the alert.

Please keep your eyes peeled!

According to initial reports, Chinna Payne was abducted from the 20s block of Lindsley Avenue in Newark.

Chinna Payne was born on April 23, 2021. She is a foot tall, weighs 7 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.

I’m not good at this...found a FB profile for a Damion Payne from Roanoke VA. April 29 pic shows a newborn. Chinna must can’t be much more than a month, if that. I hope the mother is safe.

I had this amber alert as well. They ran it a second time just now. I assume this person is her bio-dad? I will read up on it. I came on to see if there was a thread for it.

Interesting the Amber alert is for every county in NJ, which leads me to believe driver is on the road heading away from East Orange. He could be headed to NY or PA as well, though. Or possible back to VA.

I have to say, I am really impressed with how quickly and thoroughly the state of New Jersey got the message out about this missing child--I got two Emergency Alerts on my iPhone AND, a little later on, was listening to the radio when the usual programming was interrupted by a message from Emergency Broadcast System about this abduction. This quick reaction seems to have paid off in terms of getting this child to safety!

Mine came through on the television, on the channel I was watching, with emergency alerts. NJ had all bases covered. Happy this baby is safe!
