"She would not provide details or elaborate, but said the office would have a news conference Saturday at 9 a.m. in Newark to announce the arrests."

TG they caught them. Hope the NJ stations will air the press conference.

Did they give their ages? I hope they are going to be tried as adults.

http://www.nj.com/middlesex/index.ssf/2012/11/police_arrest_suspected_car_th.html

One of the suspects Karif Ford was just arrested in November for trying to elude police in a stolen vehicle. WHY was he out of jail already to reoffend only this time with deadly consequences???

The same happened with a suspect in Paul DeWolf murder. He was out despite burglary charges from a short time prior to the murder.
I don't know why our justice has revolving doors like that.

Short Hills mall shooting update: 4 men arrested, identified in connection with deadly carjacking

Thompson was taken into custody at his home in Irvington. Ford and Roberts were arrested in Newark. Henry was arrested, by an FBI task force, at a hotel in Easton, Pa., said Anthony Ambrose, chief of detectives for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. He said the arrests began around 9 p.m. Friday and concluded at about 3 a.m. today.

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray, surrounded by representatives of state, federal and county law enforcement agencies that participated in the investigation, said in a press conference this morning announcing the arrests that they were "not here today for any victory dance."

Did they give their ages? I hope they are going to be tried as adults.

Considering all suspects are around 30 years old, there is no doubt of that.

I believe that this is Basim Henry's facebook page because it says he is in Newark, and his high school graduation date of 1999 is consistent with his date of birth of 1981.

https://www.facebook.com/basim.henry

In Nov 2010 he writes: "Lockup at moment, but dey cant hold me down"

I hope they hold him down a bit longer this time...

As a follow up to the above post, this mentions a Federal Prisoner named Basim Henry who is petitioning for early release for time served in a county jail, which was denied:

http://digitalcommons.law.villanova.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=2359&context=thirdcircuit_2010

A search of the Federal Prisoner data base shows that a 32 year old male named Basim Henry was released on 04/29/2013

http://www.bop.gov/Locate/

That is a bit confusing if they are all the same guy, because in November 2010 he says he is back, but the prison release records show he was not released until 2013....was he released and rearrested?

In any case, all of these guys seem to have long, long criminal records. They are bad dudes with a lot of criminal experience. DF did not have a chance....

Thanks for posting that zippity.....from your link:

"No weapon has been recovered, nor would the prosecutor say which of the men allegedly pulled the trigger. But the sources involved in the investigation said several began turning on one another within hours of their arrests."
