Police Seek the Public's Help in Locating Missing 83-Year Old Newark Man

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help in locating 83-year old Eladio Rivera of Newark, who was reported missing yesterday.

Mr. Rivera, who suffers from dementia and diabetes, was last seen in the 400-block of Mt. Prospect Avenue. He is described as 5’2” tall and 135 lbs. He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and white hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket, jeans, and a black surgical boot on his left foot.

While police are actively searching for Mr. Rivera, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating him and returning him to his family.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Eladio Rivera to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
