I, like many others, believe there's a possibility that this is LISK related. I've been doing some research on unidentified missing persons and she does seem to match a bit. Most of the LISK women did not have ties to Long Island. Any info if she was involved in sex work, stripping, party girls, etc ? The port authority thing is what gets me.

About 6 months ago, I called in to the Brick Twp police dept something that might be relevant to both LISK and Jamie's case. Sadly, the officer I spoke with didn't know anything about Jamie (he seemed young) and had to pull up the case on the computer while I was talking to him. He was pretty interested, though, and his ears perked up when I said that there were some interesting similiarities between her and LISK's known victims, as well as the Port Authority connection. The tip I called into SCPD about a year prior seemingly died on the vine, but it could also tie in quite nicely to Jamie's case.

Whether or not what I contributed was meaningful or relevant, I hope it helped to reinvigorate interest in Jamie as far as Brick Twp is concerned. If this particular detective is young and motivated and principled, maybe there's a shot Jamie's case will get the attention it deserves.

I did this about a year ago, new detective assigned to her case- original detective retired. Sad part is, she spoke to her MOM from Port Authority and was never heard from again. I told the detective all of that.

@KJLD, thank you for posting here. I can't imagine what your family has gone through not knowing what happened to Jamie. It's heartbreaking to hear that your mom passed without knowing.

Now we know for sure she made it to Port Authority--thank you.

Do you know if she met up with anyone on the trip? Or which bus terminal she left from? Toms River? Brick?

So sorry I hear about your Mom.
I know this is most likely not her,but their is a jamie seymour on Facebook in San Antonio that's photo has uncanny resemblance.

I hope you
No, my sister did not have tattoos
with Rex heuermann caught I hope you can get in contact with Spcd and remind them of your sister. Maybe she popped up on his search history like some of the others

Here after reading about the arrest of the LISK Rex Heuermann. I found it interestesting that in an interview with a Sex Worker that had been on a date with him she recalled him specifically mentioning a girl from New Jersey and how he told her he ‘thinks it is linked’ to the other murders. As far as I am aware none of the victims found on Long Island have been identified as being from New Jersey.

We never give up, 19 years later. I hope someday my family gets answers.

My name is Daniel. I was an ex-boyfriend of Jamie in the early 2000s. She was my first love. I met her at a house party in Woodbridge, NJ one night and the next day I took a trip to the Jersey Shore to hang out with her and I fell head over heels madly in love for her. Her sisters may remember me as they used to pick me up and drop me off a few times at the train stations. I remember her little brother Tommy as well. And her dog Star.

By that summer of 2005 our relationship had run its course. The last time I ever talked to her she called me from the Port Authority in NYC. I don't remember the exact date but it was definitely in the summer and it was likely the same day she was last heard from. She asked me to come get her and I essentially told her I couldn't help her anymore and that I was ready to move on. Knowing what I know now it breaks my heart to think that maybe if I went down there I could've potentially changed the timeline of her life.

I had known she was missing all this time but I had closed that chapter of my life so to speak but every so often I would think of her and search her name to see if she had been found. Today I was watching a video on YouTube about the LISK case and after watching it I thought of her immediately. I don't want to speculate but I feel like the connection is just too strong to ignore.

In a odd twist of fate, my first child, a girl, was born on July 23. It's hard for me to not find an eerie connection there. Jamie was a beautiful soul that didn't deserve what happened to her. I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you. I'll always have a place in my heart for you. Wherever you are, I know you are bumping some LeftEye and being the life of the party. I pray that her family will someday get the peace and closure that they deserve.

Bumping for Jamie 🕊️

Yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of Jamie Diane Seymour’s disappearance.

Just to confirm, Jamie called her mom, dad, and ex boyfriend from port authority for a ride? Sounds like she called a lot of people that day.

How soon after she went missing was there an investigation? Why didn’t LE put her out face out in the news and the newspaper, or on TV.

Somebody could’ve remembered something while they themselves were at Port Authority. I’m sure there are a couple of regulars who might’ve remembered something standing out around that time.

Say, a woman hogging a payphone? or maybe Jamie was walking around with a cell phone instead? Frustrated and in the heat. At some point, it must have be evident to people around her that she appears to never get a ride….

What happened next is anyone’s guess. Sadly it has now been 20 years. I fear this case has gotten cold.

This case is very frustrating. It is hard to imagine how someone can disappear in one of the busiest places in the busiest cities in the US.
Unfortunately, Port Authority was a very sketchy place at that time. Pimps and scumbags would wait there for vulnerable women/girls to get into the city and then approach them with offers of help or work. Their goal was to take advantage of them, of course.
