''TEANECK, Oct. 20 —The New York City Police Department says it has three “definite suspects” in the slayings last December of the wife and four children of Wesley Diggs in this Bergen County community, but local investigators are less convinced.
Two convicted murderers described as members of the Harlem underworld—one of whom is in prison on a different charge and another who is on parole, along with a female acquaintance who is free on bail—have been for some months the objects of an intensive investigation by detectives in the Bronx and Manhattan.
“We have definitely established some connective evidence between them” and the murders of Mr. Diggs's 39‐year‐old wife, Jean, and their children, Audrey, 17; Allison, 16; Wesley, 12, and Rodger, 5, Detective Sgt. James Vitti of the New York City Police Department said today.''

''The informant, a murder suspect named Tecumseh Robinson, was given between $300 and $500 and some expensive surveillance equipment, according to Mr. Breslin's office, after telling a story about how a notorious hired assassin in Harlem, another man and a woman went to the Diggs home in search of Friday night receipts from Mr. Diggs's bars. After finding none, they were said to have killed the entire family to eliminate all witnesses to the robbery attempt.
Mr. Robinson vanished after telling that story and taking the money.''
