MIDDLETOWN - Human remains were found Monday on a residential street in Middletown, according to authorities.

Willow Street, a dead end road that's lined with homes, runs parallel to the Henry Hudson Bike Trail.

John’s remains were found on 11/14/24 and positively identified through DNA on 10/14/25. There was no indication of suspicious circumstances at the time he was found. So sad for his family.

Skeletal remains found last year by the Henry Hudson Bike Trail in New Jersey’s Monmouth County have been identified as a man missing since 2015.

Ninia Fernandez confirmed the remains were identified as John Paul Fernandez, her son who went missing from Middletown in December 2015 when he was 22 years old.
