Sounds like somebody decided to go find himself a new life to me..............

The cash and the jewelry might provide enough capital to buy some new belongings and furnishings.

Are police actually the ones saying he was kidnapped?

Kinda wondered the same thing, too....

Maybe the texts were meant to be a distraction so she wouldn't come home while he was cleaning the place out.

I wonder what this gentlemen does for a living and could that be connected to his disappearance?

I'm inclined to think that there's more truth to this story than fiction. Maybe Jordan set the whole thing up but that seems really over the top. On the NBC news cast last night, his sister was interviewed and she gave additional details about the texts/calls/communication that provoked Ms. Faulkner to leave the apartment and meet Jordan. I'll try to find the link.

What an elaborate hoax, if that's what it is. I just can't see who benefits in this if it is a hoax.

ETA: Looks like Los added the link already…

Or while someone else was cleaning the place out. Just sayin'.

I'm on the fence, waiting to hear where he works and did he show up for work? Or is he independently wealthy due to an inheritance or something? Has there been any bank activity? I think all this will be very telling...IMHO

I agree.. I think the financial aspect of his life, once we get those details may be very telling. I'm not inclined to believe at this time that he just decided to up and leave.. Like MamaJoJo stated, it would be a pretty elaborate hoax to pull off if that were the case. Why not just wait until the girlfriend is at work to get your belongings and leave if that was the idea?

I'm also wondering what's in Harlem... why Harlem?? Hm..

A large amount of jewelry was stolen? How unusual.

I found court records for someone with his name, but the age is off by two years. Also found some for someone with the GF's name, but have no clue if it's her or how old she is. The man's were for drugs (marijuana I believe), robbery. The woman's were for assault with a vehicle.

Well...........there goes my theory out the window...thanks a lot, OkieGranny.

Is it time now for us to speculate on what he did for a living and how a guy this age could have accumulated large amounts of cash, jewelry, and a 2013 BMW ?

Not just any BMW.. It was a X550 Gran Turismo... That's an expensive car.. Just sayin'

Maybe.. he worked in the city doing something very profitable.. who knows.. I just think for a 24 year old.. to spend 60-70 grand on a car and have large amounts of cash and jewelry just laying around in the apartment is a bit odd. JMO

Just saw the case, and was reading, and really leaning in steelman's direction, and then BAM. Gosh, hate to hear that. RIP Jordan!

What would a vehicle like that cost? I haven't bought a vehicle since around 2000...so have no idea. But the insurance would be high on BMW as well, right? And "someone" or "some people" knew how much money he kept at home, as well as the jewelry. So he was targeted, but by who??? If the place is guarded, or at least had a door man 24hrs, then there should be cameras! Hopefully it won't take long for an arrest to be made!
