#RIP Shank Money is bringing up some hits....but honestly I don't know what Shank Money even means.

It seems there was a song about it by a rapper.

Still haven't really seen social media for him though, and I'm sure it exists, I just haven't found it!

Above link gives a bit more about friends & family, refers to Jordan Johson by his nickname, "Shank Money". Lots of postings on Instagram using his name as a hashtag. More insight there.

One of the comments on one of those posts (3rd one for me when I searched) names someone in particular.

For a grown man to be strangled, I definitely think two people had to be involved. You don't often hear about men being strangled to death.

ETA: Actually, several posts have a comment by the same person naming up to 3 people. Of course they're all nicknames, but it does seems there's word on the street about who they think did it. "Jealousy" and "greed" have also been thrown about as motives by these commenters.

How tall was the victim, how much did he weigh?

Think only one perp who committed the actual murder...did him in from behind, was taken by surprise?

The person has thighs on him like an olympic speed skater. I bet he/she works out at a gym somewhere.

Parka turquoisy blue color is soooo uncommon, especially if it is male wearing it. Gentlemen WSleuthers: Have you seen this color parka in any men's store?? Even uncommon for Ladies, maybe more common in Junior's Dept.

I know this is just probably a huge coincidence, but there is another very strange unsolved murder of another car service person that happened in nearby Jersey City this year. The chauffeur was originally from NY but had moved to Jersey recently and supposedly was a member of a gym in Edgewater (which is next to Fort Lee). Here's that victim's instagram account: http://instagram.com/celebritychauffeur/ and here's an article about the murder, which happened in broad daylight on a street with lots of pedestrian traffic. (I came upon the crime scene when the police were still in the process of documenting the car and victim). I'm dropping the links here on the very off chance the two victims may have some connection. http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/...ne_shot_to_death_in_a_car_in_jersey_city.html

Hi Everyone,

Remember, unless mentioned in mainstream media, we can't sleuth out the friends of the victim.

Just think if you woke up, got your coffee, sat down behind your computer, and decided to either Google your name or jump on Websleuths to see the progress in your friend's case. When all of a sudden there YOU are being sleuthed? Huh? You are not a POI, you have not been named in the media, but here are all these strangers talking to you.

If anyone has any questions concerning this topic please feel free to email me at [email protected]

Thanks,
Tricia

Thanks, Tricia.

FYI, in this situation the girlfriend has been identified in the mainstream media in practically every story about this case.

A 25-year-old Fort Lee man has been charged with the murder of Jordan Johnson, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Andre Jamal Thompson, also known as “Boogie,” was charged with felony murder, robbery and burglary on Thursday. He remains in the Prince George’s County Correctional Center in Maryland on $2,000,000 bail and is awaiting extradition to Bergen County...

The investigation found that Thompson lured Johnson to an apartment he sometimes used in Fort Lee, the release said. Johnson was assaulted, robbed and killed. Thompson allegedly used Johnson’s cellphone to text Faulkner, luring her form their apartment. After she left, their apartment was burglarized, the release said.

Molinelli said on Monday that “additional arrests may occur” and that the case is still being investigated. He said the investigation has included search warrants executed in New York and interviews conducted in Massachusetts and New Jersey.
Thompson “fled the state within hours of the homicide,” Molinelli said, adding that police tracked him last week to a hotel in Laurel, Md., where he was arrested on Wednesday morning. Thompson was “initially arrested on an outstanding warrant from Worcester, Mass.,” Molinelli said.
Worcester police said Thompson had been wanted on charges of breaking and entering and assault with a dangerous weapon since 2012. Additional information about those charges were not available Monday, when Massachusetts courts and government agencies were shut down because of a snowstorm.
Thompson was charged on Thursday with felony murder, robbery and burglary in the Fort Lee case, Molinelli said. He was being held on Monday in the Prince George’s County Correctional Center in Maryland on $2 million bail and was expected to be extradited to Bergen County, the prosecutor said.
