A Worcester man charged with murder in New Jersey this week will likely be returned to Massachusetts to answer charges that he violated his probation in connection with a 2008 assault on a Becker College student who was shortly after stabbed to death...

He is the same man convicted of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in September 2008, when a fight broke out at a party on North Ashland Street. Mr. Thompson was found guilty of slashing William L. Smith Jr., 19, with a knife. In the ensuing street brawl, Mr. Smith was fatally stabbed in the chest. No one has ever been charged with inflicting the fatal blow.

Prosecutors in New Jersey say they've made additional arrests in the murder of a 24-year-old New Jersey man found dead in the trunk of his own car on a New York City street after he was kidnapped.

Robert R. Martinez, 26, of Worcester, Massachusetts, has been arrested on felony murder and other charges in the killing of Jordan Johnson of Fort Lee, Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said Thursday.

Courtney A. Evelyn, 30; Dyrol Evelyn, 25; and Diana Escotto, 24, all of Manhattan, were also each charged with hindering apprehension.

Good find, 2Hope! And, her last post was sooo positive. Bet she thought she got away with it. Wow! I wonder how she got caught up in this? She does talk about the media in one post and "mitigating circumstances" earlier this month. Also, on January 16 she talks about visiting other states and takes a trip to KY on the 22nd returning by the 28th (via Maryland) only to talk about skipping town again. Maybe all of that is a cowinkydink.

He was ordered held without bail and his case was continued to March 10, though court officials said officers from New Jersey may pick him up before then. Martinez is facing a murder charge along with Andre Jamal Thompson, also known as "Boogie," 25, of Worcester, who was arrested in a Maryland motel on Feb. 5 in connection with the death of 24-year-old Jordan Johnson of Fort Lee.

Escotto, 24, has been charged with hindering arrest in the murder of Jordan Johnson. Escotto has been featured in a number of rap music videos, including alongside Queens rapper 50 Cent.
