I feel she had to be meeting up with someone in NY. I wonder if she has any friends from school that graduated and are in college there?
Sure seems to be alot of missing New Jersey girls this week!

Oh I think this young lady had a destination!
But.......Would someone hide her after all this BS or someone that dosent really know her to well or know the situation!

I agree she still needs to be found, even if it is to face the consequences of her actions.

When I was living in NY I many times remember parents of runaways out on the streets passing out photos and asking ppl if they have seen their daughter or son, at least today we can read whats going on in their lives and their friends it is kind of a window we can look into .....
Id be at the station I do think she will go back there to maybe get back home!

After seeing the video with her mother, I read through Kara's Tweet history again.

I got a different sense of where some of Kara's anger and angst were coming from.

I don't think she left to meet up with a romantic interest, nor do I think her closest friends have any idea where she went.

I think they need to check surveillance tapes at the train stations on Long Island.

And paper the Dunkin Donut shops in that area with her Missing posters.

All MOO and of course I could be wrong.

I agree she didnt run off to be with anyone and i dont think her friends have a clue... but she could have tweeted someone and said hey can i stay with ya.

Port authority is filled with runaways they can keep belongings in a locker
but NY is a dangerous place even if your not a runaway so imagine being 16 and on the street. And there are thousands of them!

Check the train station
Bus station
ETC
ETC

Reading through Kara's tweets, and forgive me if this has already been posted..

1. Kara talked about being sick multiple days
2. Her mother told her they were moving to Berkley Heights
3. Kara tweeted that "he knows the situation and he says I'm doing the right thing"
4. Kara posts that there's an intruder at the around the same time a cab is called, suggesting that someone else might have called the cab for her. ( possibly ) ..
5. She goes to the train station and picks up a single-way ticket to NY

When you consider 1-3 .. it sounds to me a plausible theory that Kara got pregnant and didn't want to leave her boyfriend behind to move to Berkley Hts... probably a guy she never told her parents about.. ( maybe he's an adult ).

The only explanation I can give for the intruder lie is so her friends would worry about her intentionally.. she was on the outs with many of her friends because they accused her for police breaking up an underaged drinking party.. so this might have been a last moment guilt trip.

I doubt she expected this to explode to a national story.. she probably thought it would be confined to her family and her immediate twitter followers.

What do you think of this theory? and sorry if it's been considered already.

Makes sense to me!
I can see the pregnant story and it is a reason to run away from home esp if your afraid to tell your mom and dad.
But to say you were abducted ..... Not sure about that one.
Why not just drop out of sight?

But why say she was abducted then the cops come looking for ya!

Kara Alongi, the 16-year-old who became a global sensation when she disappeared after sending out a hoax tweet that she was in danger, was back safe in Clark today, according to township police.

State Police found Alongi walking along the the side of the New Jersey Turnpike near Exit 1at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was taken to a local hospital in South Jersey for evaluation.

Her family was notified shortly after she was found and they were reunited at the hospital Tuesday evening. A detective from the Clark Police Department also responded to the hospital as a standard part of a missing juvenile investigation.

Alongi was transferred to a North Jersey hospital overnight for additional evaluations and was released a short time later and returned home, police said.

I think the abduction thing was to guilt her friends who were mad at her for causing police to breakup an underaged drinking party .. just a thought!

But I see from the above links that she was found safely! which is great news.. now I hope we find out the truth behind this whole mess.
