I just submitted Anne Manchester as a possible candidate for this Jane Doe.
Yeah, the fact that this is skeletonized remains without the ability to do a facial reconstruction means I think she's got a pretty wide variety of possibilities.I was tossing around the possibility of Laureen Rahn as this JD. She was only 14 at the time. Reported to be 5’4” and 90 lbs with brown hair. I had not seen her mentioned previously so wanted to include her here as well.
UID had the presence of parturition scars which can be an indicator of previous childbirth but it’s not necessarily always accurate as they have shown up in women that did not birth a child and have been absent in women who had a child previously so it’s not 100%.
One other interesting note is that Laureen was last seen wearing a heart shaped gold ring and a heart shaped ring was found near JD remains.
Manchester to Lacey Twp is about a 5 hour drive straight down CT-15. Not sure if there is an alternative name for this hwy.

Where did you submit?Let me know if you guys submitted Laureen Rahn or Barbara Ann Bruno! I just got back a message saying they were going to look into Anne Manchester and would get back to me if it's a match. I definitely think the other posters should send in their suggestions!
That's why I think Anne Manchester could be a possibility. Her apartment complex in Newark, Delaware was pretty close to I-95.From where she was dumped, the closest road and interstate highway are Route 9 and I-95, which lead right to Ocean County. She was probably not from the area and was likely dumped in the woods.
Where did you submit?
I’d imagine the person that discovered her had their vehicle about like the one in this Google street image. It does look like it would be difficult to spot her from a passing vehicle despite her being about 30 feet from the road.

I am familiar with the area. This is Exit 74 on the Garden State Parkway and the area at that time (and still is) heavily wooded as part of the pine barrens of Double Trouble State Park. No toll barriers at that time either and the exit uat that time was on the other side of the bridge, then making a right and driving down Lacey Road. This would have been an easy spot to drop off a body coming from Parkway south. I don’t think it had a traffic light at the time once exiting the parkway and making that right turn. And to this day that area of Lacey Road still has no street lights.
In 1981 this would have been the first exit after Exit 82 and points north where it was heavily populated.
That's me! Anne Manchester is my pet case.Yeah I agree a Jane or John Doe would be hard to see in a vehicle from 20 yards away especially with the amount of woods or trees being a heavy factor on that section of Lacey Rd. Just reading through this thread there are about 5 or 6 possibilities of who this Jane Doe could be. I know the last post that was made on here said that Anne Manchester has been eliminated as being a possible Jane Doe in this case.
I think Laureen is a decent possibility. I have submitted quite a few but have not submitted this one yet.@Caring1 good find and I think the ring is a good potential link; there are some discrepancies but we know estimates like PMI are often proven to be incorrect. DoeNetwork has a very easy submission page. If you don't feel comfortable you can ask here and one of us other users can submit.
I personally don't see Jan coming back to the Jersey Shore area after 6.5 years if she was still alive in early 1980 since our Jane Doe on this thread was found on Feb 6th, 1981. I looked yesterday on AI in a question form to see if there were any possible sightings of Jan after she left her home in June of 1973 but the AI said there have been no possible sightings of her. However one poster on the Jan Cotta thread on this site said he or she(the poster) may have seen somebody that looked like Jan but I'm not sure what year they saw this possible person. The poster couldn't place where they saw this possible person that looked like Jan either.View attachment 411981Has Jan Cotta been ruled out?
She Disappear 30 Mins away 8 years prior to the discovery of JD
-19 years old
-5'4
-125lbs
-Brown Hair
-5-7 month pregnant
Also she was wearing a ring with a blue topaz birthstone and two diamonds. That could possibly be the heart ring if the topaz and one of the diamonds broke off.
Agreed on Sylvia Lwowski, was just looking & was wondering the same thing with the ring. Staten Island's only about an hour, I believe, from where this Doe was found.I feel like it's a somewhat unlikely possible match, but Sylvia Alice Lwowski was wearing a heart-shaped engagement ring when she disappeared:

The great thing is that we can keep this up. We already know Anne Manchester is Exclusion Number 1.So i submitted Selinda "Cindy" Winegar, age 17, yesterday. She went missing from Vermont in 1979. About 5'3, weight 105 to 120, and had sandy colored hair. She was know to wear rings on every finger.
Could the ring be C W instead of E W? I will post if and when I hear bk from Doe Network.
