Marcin lived at 377 South Harrison St, East Orange, NJ. Harrison Park Owners sued him for non-payment of HOA fees. They claimed he last used his key fob to get into apartment building on Sept 23, 2023. You need to use the key fob to enter building, elevators and the apartment. There are cameras in building. East Orange police and state police did a wellness check and no sign of him in apartment. All of his belongings were in his apartment and no food in fridge. State police have been waiting for subpoenas for his labtop and phone records and cameras. Phone was also disconnected in Sept for non-payment with Verizon. They checked his bank records with wells fargo and there was no activity on the bank account for over a year. He paid apt until May 15, 2023. His car was also parked in garage with flat tires and the car was dirty like no one has used it for a long time. We contacted his sister that lives in TX, Agnieszka Golian and she had not heard from him since 2018. He also hasn't spoken to his parents that live in Brandon Fl for over 10 years. His last known job was PEXCard, 1375 Broadway, FL 11, New York, NY. Called and they said he hadn't worked there since 2020. We have hung flyers all over East Orange, Irvington and Newark. We also hung them at all the local train stations. No leads on to where or what happened to him. It has been a year since he has been missing.

He has a couple other creditors looking for him. Two very recently filed cases in the New Jersey court system (you have to register to have access, no fees, but there's multiple steps and password requirement that made me want to use what my grandchildren refer to as "Grandma used an HBO word!" but I had access in about 15 minutes.

Hate to say it either he had fled due to the money he owes and is under a false identity in another state to avoid being detected, he "jump" and most likely off a bridge, or he could of been a hit and run situation with no identification on him so he probably is labeled a John Doe if he is in a comma.

Now regarding the last option, around the time he was reported missing, was there anyone in a 50 mile radius reported as any John Doe types to local hospitals? This is how we do some process of elimination on figuring out where he could of ended up.

So he is estranged from his family if I understand correctly. Last seen at his job in 2020.
IMO he lives off the grid under a different name.

Lawyer on the Trellis link says he "refused" to pay the maintenance fee. Maybe that's just legalese. If he wasn't paying the maintenance fee, was he paying his mortgage? (Assuming he had one.)

When was the last time anyone spoke with him enough to establish his well-being and state-of-mind? No contact with family since 2018 (I won't point fingers in either direction there; what led to the end of contact, what did they say about him being missing?), no (known) job since 2020, no bank activity since 2022 (or 2023, depending on when the timeframe the "year" was referring to), no maintenance fees since March 2023, residence appeared vacant on July 30th 2023, no contact with anyone or cell phone account since September 2023, another 2+ months before it was noticed that he was missing and 3 months until he was reported missing. Had anybody tried contacting him from September through December, 2023? Who called for the wellness check? 3+ years is a long time to be unemployed, while still covering at least some of his expenses.

East Orange isn't the safest town, either (although Irvington's worse).

We didn't find anyone with his description as a John Doe and we called all the surrounding hospitals. Whether they told us the truth or not we don't know.

Just a thought. Seems a Polish name. Is it just his name of Polish origin, or could he have moved out of the US and now live in Europe if he speaks the language ?

If he had not paid rent since May, had they begun some type of eviction proceedings? If they have cameras in the building as stated in the first post, were they able to confirm that it was in fact HIM that used the key fob last in September? Seems a long time to go between May and nearly the end of September without someone attempting to collect on the rent but I don't see any mention of that, only the non-payment of the HOA fees. Am I missing something?

Yeah, they started eviction proceedings in June or July. The "rent" was just the maintenance fee; they were also suing to force him to surrender his shares in the property. I'm not 100% familiar with how co-ops work, but since they weren't suing for actual rent, I'm guessing he had a mortgage? If he hasn't heard from the bank yet, that's probably coming too.
