Same town she disappeared from. He definitely looked like the guy who asked for directions for “ a bar” from across the street from us…then magically appeared on our side a half block up with his pants down around his ankles.

Would a person who does this to innocents …..commit murder? I dunno.

Hi, I graduated from John F. Kennedy in 1974 and often walked Willingboro Parkway because I lived one block over from it. I swear to God one year (ish) I had five, FIVE! different men stop me walking on Willingboro Parkway to 'ask for directions', only to discover as I got closer to the car to give them, that they were masturbating in the front seat. It happened so often that my friend and I became inured to it and simply laughed it off. A lot of freaking deviants running around during that time in South Jersey. In July 1973, my classmate, Theresa Caseiro, was murdered in her Willingboro home during the day and no one has ever been caught for that murder, either. It's amazing we survived that time period.

After reading through the entire thread, there’s a lot of speculation over the abductor’s choice of alias (‘John Marshall’) but no one’s mentioned this post as a possibility since the original author brought it up:

It has been pointed out to me that several buildings, including a school, bear the name "John Marshall" in Mt. Holly (Marshall being a former Chief Justice in the late 1700's-early 1800's). It would be a sick irony on the part of the child abductor to use the name of a man so famous in the town-and a chief justice.

So it’s entirely possible the name could have been chosen simply from seeing it on another building.

I always think the caller was doing this as a bad joke like brain dead idiots do when people disappear... most likely they are immature and nervous teenagers or those sick and up "adults" who get off on other people's pain... I also think the phone call was very clear for a recording in 1974...

It was digitally enhanced which is why it wasn't released sooner.

I feel that there's something either being held back regarding the call or another fact that makes it legitimate.

I don't think that they would. There has to be something being held back. After 50 years I see no reason not to release any info.
