Circumstances of Disappearance

Melissa Massaro told her partner she was going to CVS Pharmacy and Walmart located in Union but never returned to the residence. She supposedly contacted him on March 27, 2022 stating she wanted to come back home but then changed her mind.

There's certainly not much information here. No MSM coverage either.

So on 3/17/22 Melissa informed her partner that she was going to CVS and then Walmart but didn't return home. Then she supposedly contacted him ten days later, on 3/27/22, but did not return?

Here's a few questions that quickly come to mind:

I assume this 'partner' was her BF? If so, what was their relationship like? Any known DV issues? Was he the person who reported Melissa missing?

Has Melissa dropped out of sight previously? Does she have any known MH/substance abuse issues?

Did she leave all of her personal items at her residence? I'm guessing she had her car keys, purse, and phone with her at least.

I'm unclear about this statement. To me it sounds like Melissa was staying someplace safe after she was last seen, and then for some reason was trying to decide if she should return to her residence or not.

With the minimal information we have at the moment, and based on the statement above, it appears Melissa may have disappeared willingly, and for some reason didn't wish to return to her residence. That's only speculation, as the few facts we have so far don't support any particular theory.

Does Melissa have any family or friends in the area? If so, has she contacted them recently?

IF substances were still involved, her people/investigators might be wanting to look around K&A in Philly. Union is about an hour and a half, 2 hours drive. People have come from much farther and got 'stuck' in Kensington. She does appear to have more than one FB though hard to tell from pics, no recent postings. Hope the kids are well.

Well, Melissa and her husband clearly had substance abuse issues at one point. Based on the current situation and limited information from MSM, we don't know if she still has these SA issues or perhaps has moved past them. We also don't know if the 'partner' mentioned in the MSM is the 'husband' referred to in the 2011 media report.

It's also not clear what the statement "while children under the couple’s care were asleep in the same home" means. I'm not sure if this refers to Melissa's own children or if she was watching children for someone else?

Same here. I did a quick search but found no recent MSM reports.

It's unclear whether Melissa is currently married or not, or whether there could be DV issues involved, or if she may be having MH/SA issues. We know she had some SA issues about ten years ago based on the old report of Melissa and her husband, but based on the minimal information provided so far there's no way to tell whether that is still the case. MOO

Without more information from family or LE there's just not much to go on here.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that she's been located. Of course, we can't be 100% certain, but the NamUs solved MPs cases also went up by one case in the same time frame her NamUs profile has been removed. I can't find any news about her having been found, but unfortunately that is the case in many many cases...
