The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is currently working to identify the human remains of a woman that were recovered in Mullica Township, New Jersey in July of 1988.
DNA has matched Whiting as the biological father of the victim. Detectives want to hear from anyone who may have known him or the victim’s mother in order to positively identify her.![]()
Atlantic County authorities one step closer to identifying cold case victim
New evidence has emerged in a decades-old cold case and authorities in Atlantic County say they need help identifying the victim, whose body was found in 1988.www.audacy.com
The victim was a Black woman, about 5-foot-2, and had at least one child before her death. Investigators believe she was born between 1953 and 1963.
