Found Safe NJ - Natalee Perez, 13, left in a car, Marlboro Township, 23 Aug 2021

***** Missing Juvenile *****

On August 24th 2021 at 6:30am the above pictured juvenile (13) was reported missing be her mother. Natalee Perez left her residence in Marlboro at approximately 11:30pm on August 23rd. There was no description of the vehicle that she left the area in.

Natalee was last seen wearing black high top sneakers, black shorts, and a black hooded sweatshirt.

The mother advised us that she dyed her hair black as of yesterday August 23rd and has cut it to shoulder length.

Natalee has a tattoo of a broken heart under her right eye.

She is believed to be in the New Brunswick area at this time based on her instagram account.

I had the same reaction when I read that.

A quick google search turned up quite a few instances of her running away. It seems she is a habitual runaway. Here’s an article from a recent time she ran away

One of the articles I read from when she previously ran away said she ran away from a group home elsewhere in NJ. There is a group home in Marlboro, so it’s possible she is in the “system”. I hope she gets the help she needs. Multiple incidents of running away at such a young age makes me worry about her overall well-being.

How was it known at what time she left?

Natalee Perez left her house at around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, police said. She was last seen wearing black high-top sneakers, black shorts and a black hooded sweatshirt.

I want to correct myself. Collier group home is in red bank. Collier high school is in Marlboro. They are the same program but I don’t think the high school is a boarding school, I think it’s just a day school. I think her family actually lives in Marlboro. She previously lived in a group home based on past news articles, but I don’t know if she still does or if she lives at home with family now. Sorry for any confusion

Yes, very worrisome. And so very dangerous IMO. SMH.
Hoping that some caring and level-headed adult loves her and will help her if she returns home or is found. She needs someone she can trust who is reliable, kind, and loving, I'm thinking.
