On the night of October 20, 1972, 26-year-old Patricia Wagner left her Jersey City apartment for a coffee date with her new boyfriend, Dennis. Her mother, Marie, agreed to watch Patty's two young sons, Kenny and Michael, for a few hours. Before leaving, Patty's oldest son, Kenny, begged her not to go. He was overcome by a bad feeling about his mother going out that night, but he didn't know why. Patty reassured her young son that she would return later and headed out of her apartment for her date. That was the last known sighting of Patricia Wagner. Patty never came home, and her family never heard from her again. Although Patty's mother quickly jumped into action to report her daughter missing, Patty's case went ice cold. Decades later, a younger family member became determined to do what she could to find her long-lost cousin.

According to the podcast the Dennis in Florida was not the Dennis they were looking for. Dennis has never been found, and his family stated that they do not care what happened to him and that they do not want to search for him. They also haven't disclosed why they feel that way. Only his mother showed worry, but she passed away.
Dennis' car that he picked up Patricia in hasn't been found.
Patricia's ex Andy, now passed away, assaulted Patricia a few days before she and Dennis disappeared.

I just finished the podcast.
The most perplexing thing is Dennis' family being totally unwilling to search for their lost relative AND being totally unwilling to assist in finding Patricia. My first thought is that they know something and are willing to take it to the grave. It is beyond odd that they would be so angry at Dennis to be so completely lacking in empathy.
I wonder about the sons feeling about his mother going out. My first thought is that a five year old in the 70s would more likely have these feelings out of a sense that he has received from the mother of her not coming back. I think kids can pick up on those kind of vibes. However, I am not sure, at five, a child has enough of a knowledge about real life dangers to have a general fear of her going out that night?
The car and the couple ending up in water could make sense.
