NEWARK — A city man is facing at least 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to producing child depicting a young girl he is also accused of kidnapping and sexually abusing, authorities said.

Pedro Rios, 59, entered the pleas on five counts of sexual exploitation of a child and a single count of child possession during an appearance in Newark federal court today, U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said in a statement.​

According to authorities, Rios would allegedly drive the young girl to a tractor-trailer he kept in Union County, take her into the rear of the cab, have sex with her or touch her sexually, and record it. He allegedly told the girl he would hurt her family if she told anyone of the ongoing incidents, Fishman said.

A Newark man was sentenced to 360 months in prison on Wednesday for inducing a girl to engage in sexually explicit conduct while he took pictures and videos.

Pedro Rios, 59, previously pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child , the U.S. Attorney of New Jersey stated.
