Names of missing persons mentioned in link provided by PFF in first post:

Sherman Springfield Sr., along with his captain and another crewman, were lost at sea nearly 50 years ago when their boat, the Debbie Sue, sank beneath the ocean off Cape May. Their bodies were never found.

They include the disappearances of Frazier Robbins in 1975 from Sea Isle City, William H. Gerald in 1978 from Middle Township, Allen Warner in the 1970s from Wildwood Crest, Brandon Keith Robbins in 1982 from North Wildwood, and William Lafferty in 2000 from Ocean City.

Not much to go on with this one. When was the article written?

I wonder if the "other crewman" might have been the one mentioned on an English tombstone epitaph:

"Here lies the body of John Mound, Lost at sea and never found".
