NJ NJ - Teaneck, UncMale 18-99, UP80391, Partial skeletal in backyard, Feb'20

I just heard on the news the owners have lived there since 1996 and that they believed the bones are old and there is no fowl play... how do they figure that if they just found the bones?
And how old is old?

I just found this article which has a little more info. It says house was built in 1950. So I am wondering if the bones were placed there when the house was being built to hide whoever it was?.

Teaneck police personnel immediately responded to the residence and secured the area.

There is no word on the identity of the remains found, and officials said they appear to be old but that any attempt to date them would be premature at this time.

It is believed they have been there since before the home was built in 1950. The homeowner has lived there since 1996.
