HA! I heard one of them say her house was too clean!
LOL ..... house too clean? go to jail for 30 years! :bang:
HA! I heard one of them say her house was too clean!
one of the ctv TH's said that's the part she just could not buy (i think her name is Jamie) ... anyway, she held up a Rsaw and it wasnt light ... it also made a lot of noise ... it would be making that noise the entire time ... how long?Maybe she did it somewhere other than the apartment. Surely you couldn't kill and cut up someone in an apartment with a reciprocating saw!
Boo, Hiss. Normally I'm all over these "criminals", dislike defense attorneys etc... but this time I think there is reasonable doubt.
What in the heck is wrong with our system when O.J. walks and this nurse is found guilty? Yes, there was a lot of circumstantial evidence but for me the doubt was:
No organic evidence at the apartment after intensive searches
Her size and theory he was drugged
Never found the murder weapon, same calibre but can't connect the murder weapon to her
Experts about garbage bags cancelled each other out
I agree, the towels make me go hmmm, however, if you wanted to frame someone, how easy would that be? Too easy. Same with the luggage if you ask me.
I didn't hear all the evidence about the luggage but could the victim have had several pieces with him and the murderer used it?
Thank God! I did not think that there was any reasonable doubt.according to the text at the bottom of the screen,
she has been found guilty of first degree murder.
personally, i thought there was reasonable doubt.
This is precisely why I am here posting/reading and NOT cleaning the Richman's house!LOL ..... house too clean? go to jail for 30 years! :bang:
EXACTLY! and the dr. miller she had the affair with (btw, the dead man, her husband, was also having an affair) ... anyway, dr. miller worked at the same place melanie did, had access to those same towels.
Her hubby had a one nigght stand not an affair.
i'm suspicious of that dr. miller. he had access to those towels because he worked in the same clinic as melanie.
they replayed some of his testimony on direct examination, and he admitted he was so in love with melanie that he was planning to leave his wife and she was supposed to be leaving her husband ...... then they were planning to get a house together and get divorced.
THEN melanie called him one day and told him that she and her current husband had just "closed on a house" !!! and that shocked him ... i wish i would have seen him getting cross-examined on that point, because he kinda looked betrayed even when he was talking about it.
judge granted prosecutors request to revoke bail.
melanie mcguire's being taken to jail.
one night stand or affair=====cheater jdb !!
I watched the trial off and on, I felt she was guilty but not sure it was proven. She looked so cold throughout the trial, showed very little emotion in court and it was reported during breaks she was out in the hall chatting and laughing with friends.
Without help, I'm not even sure with adrenaline rush she could have handled him to cut him up. If she had help I think she might have given them up at some point. Really was confusing to me but I did not watch all of it closely.I don't suspect the dr/boyfriend.
I agree. Wow. The defense found one woman where he had one incident. His marriage to Melanie was probably on the rocks. She's the one who was having an on-going affair and had (oral) sex when she was 39 weeks' pregnant. What a gal!Her hubby had a one nigght stand not an affair.
Thank God! I did not think that there was any reasonable doubt.
--good post--that sums it up--I wonder why she didn't get rid of the computer lol--anyway, my mother's been following this case more than I and she agrees with the verdict--saw Melanie a couple of times on CourtTV--she sure looked creepy to meSomeone on another blog summed up some of the evidence. It is as follows:
BenApuna says...
* Melanie McGuire purchased a .38 handgun within the days preceding the murder. Bill McGuire was killed by a .38 caliber bullet;
* McGuire's home computer contained searches for undetectable poisons and for how to commit murders;
* A forged prescription for choral hydrate, a powerful sedative, was filled on the scrip pad of Melanie McGuire's lover, Bradley Miller. Melanie McGuire had access to that pad;
* The scrip for choral hyrate was filled at a pharmacy that was located two minutes or so from the day care center that McGuire's kids attend, and it was filled shortly before (or after) the kids would have been dropped off;
* Melanie McGuire's EZ Pass records showed trips to Atlantic City, where Bill McGuire's car was found, after the murder occurred. Someone tried to get those charges removed. Cellphone records for Melanie McGuire showed she made two calls to EZ Pass customer service on June 3, 2004 - at the same time state the call disputing the charges were made. Notably, the calls were made a day after McGuire was questioned about her and her husband William McGuire's EZ Pass records, among other items, by Virginia Beach police, who were investigating her husband murder;
* The garbage bags that the body was found in and the garbage bags from the home were the same;
* The blankets that the body was wrapped in were the same blankets that were delivered to the fertility clinic where she worked.
I also do not believe that the boyfriend was involved. I think that Melanie wanted the home, the life insurance and the kids. I'm not so sure that she would have stayed with the doctor had she gotten away with murder.
Thanks for starting this thread. I've been watching this (some) on Court TV. I missed the verdict.
From what I saw of the testimony, I thought she was guilty.

:clap: :clap:Guilty on the murder and dismemberment and gun charges! Not guilty on the drug and obstruction charges. Bail has been revoked and she was led out of the courtroom by bailiff.
