New Jersey State Police Cold Case Unit has consulted the Ramapo College IGG Center to assist in the identification of Burlington County John Doe, whose remains were discovered on January 31, 1988.
The man, aged 23-31 at the time of his death, is believed to have died in 1987 or 1988. His hair was brown, he was estimated to be 5’9” in height, and was thought to have weighed around 160 pounds in life.
John Doe was wearing blue jeans and white jockey shorts as well as a black belt with a metallic buckle. He carried several items on his person including a round key ring and a cube of pyrite (“fool’s gold”).
