On 1 January 2006, a living woman was found in a car park in Assen. Due to her physical condition, she was admitted to hospital, but she died on 14 January 2006. The woman's identity is still unknown, but she may have been from Armenia. Who can help us identify this woman based on the photo, description or clothing? If you know of anyone who went missing in the period prior to this woman being found, please report this to us. A DNA profile of the unknown woman is available, so a comparison (with relatives) of missing persons is possible.

Description:

  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 31-41 years old
  • Height: 1.59 m
  • Build: Normal
  • Eye colour: Brown
  • Hair: Originally greying dark hair, now dyed dark blonde (partially grown out)
  • Hair: Wavy and approximately 15 cm long
  • Dental characteristics: The upper teeth were almost complete and consisted mainly of crowns. The lower teeth were missing.
  • Special features: Old bone fracture: left collarbone
The woman was wearing the following clothing:
  • Dark trousers made of synthetic material;
  • Light blue jumper made of a soft fabric similar to fleece;
  • Dark red, mid-length coat with gold buttons (see photo);
  • Black slippers with a white snowflake emblem (see photo).
The woman also had a plastic bag with her containing clothing and some personal items, including black slip-on shoes, an orange bag and slippers (see photos).

Among her items, only the shoes are more distinctive. The others are more common looking, and given the period, perhaps all made in China.

I also wonder why she carried some items in a plastic bag, including shoes. I live in a Western country, and in my experience only hospitals and similar institutions, will put patients belongings in a plastic bag and let them leave with it.
