Thanks for the update! When you get confirmation, be sure and let us know and we can get the moderators here to update this case. Amazing if this is resolved after all this time!
We are almost positive it is Jack Doss, he was loved by so many and I’m hopeful now that I’ve given all of the info to the authorities and his siblings to that they will find some piece. Just a few details left but I’ve handed it over to his brother and he will decide how to proceed from here.

I believe they’re talking about this. I got it too.

Oh, I understand now. I’m new to this and sometimes because I’m emotional comments can be confusing to me. I so admire what y’all do. It’s really so amazing and because my brother knew how distraught I was he put in some of the work that y’all do. I’m thankful and appreciate the kindness I’ve been afforded.

What was odd about the message? I’ve found speaking to people at the sheriffs department and a missing persons investigator, the medical examiner at UNM to be the most direct way to approach this matter. When I go to websites they either need vague information, want my information and or for me to pay fees. The sheriffs office knows the NAMUS case number and the other case information. Once they were given his case number - it was pretty straightforward.

I think communicating with the med examiner and sheriff’s office is absolutely the right steps. I was just unsure about that link on the NAMUS page. I am not sure that is an up to date or accurate website and was concerned with the message about impersonating.
Thanks also to the poster who chimed in that they received the same message.
*My opinions.
