ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Police say they are searching for a 33-year-old Albuquerque woman after her mother reported her missing.

Officer Simon Drobik said in a statement Thursday that police were searching for Andreanna Yellowhair, who was last seen at her mother's apartment Wednesday.

Police say her mother reported receiving a text message stating Yellowhair was dead, which police have not confirmed.

They say the message her mother reported receiving was from an unknown person

Police say attempts to reach Yellowhair and her boyfriend, who are homeless, have not been successful.

Anyone with information on her location is asked to call the police's Missing Persons Unit at 505-924-6094.

I found two arrests for her for domestic violence but there were no convictions so likely false charges by a partner. Caselookup - Disclaimer

“Yellowhair was last seen Wednesday at an apartment complex near San Mateo and Kathryn.

“Police said Yellowhair and her boyfriend, Kyle Yazzie are both homeless. APD said the couple are both known to drink and use illegal drugs. Neither of them has a vehicle.”

Another case about a missing, possibly murdered Native woman. It makes me sick. I wonder if they were ever able to track down who sent the text, and why would someone even send that text? Vs going to the police etc.
I hope it’s all a terrible hoax or misunderstanding and that she’s found safe and soon!

It might not even been her. Last year I saw a man beating a woman who was trying to get away on my street and I called the police. They showed up fast and spoke to them and took the report, she took full responsibility and they arrested her and he was free to go. Watching this unfold changed my perspective quite a bit and depressed me to no end. All we know from this report is that either she or the people around her (maybe both) are capable of violent reactions..

BBM: with boots on the ground. Including but not limited to showing her picture around shelters, food banks & kitchens, parks, etc. Also talking to any friends/other homeless who might know places she/they hang out.

If Albuquerque has any street/drug outreach programs reaching out to them to circulate their pictures could help too.
