defendants are trying to have judge moran recused over a supposed conflict, judge hart will hear the motion and decide whether or not to grant it and may take it herself. shre is the judge who sentenced nehemiah griego to 5 life terms sooo either way i hope it is justice for collin and ahmed.

The prosecution and defense delivered opening statements Wednesday in the first-degree murder trial of Izaiah Garcia, 20, who is charged with fatally shooting Sean Markey.

In a separate case, Garcia is charged with first-degree murder in the 2019 shooting death of Cayla Campos, 21, of Albuquerque who was playing Pokémon GO with her boyfriend when her car was sprayed with bullets.

Campos was killed on Oct. 18, 2019, less than three weeks after Markey’s killing. A trial in that case is scheduled to begin in December in 2nd Judicial District Court.

Jury reaches verdict in Izaiah Garcia trial

The trial was for the murder of 17-year-old Sean Markey, an innocent bystander at a 2019 homecoming party. Witnesses claimed Garcia showed up at the party to seek revenge on another teen. Instead, Markey is the one who was shot by a bullet that ricocheted.

I was thinking of Collin and Ahmed today. I found this about a guilty plea by the man who buried them.

"Aragon, 39, pleaded guilty Dec. 7 to two counts of tampering with evidence and a third count of conspiracy for burying the boys’ bodies in a remote area west of Rio Rancho.

Three other men alleged to have killed Collin Romero, 15, and Ahmed Lateef, 14, are scheduled to stand trial in August.

Stephen Goldman Jr., 22, Jimmie Atkins, 25, and Julio Almentero, 18, each were charged with two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of kidnapping, two counts of armed robbery and other charges in the boys’ deaths."

jury selection took 2 days so the trial is supposed to start today. it was delayed 2 hours due to weather.

thank you! i hope so too! the father and uncle got woefully lax sentences, but they werent there for the actual murder. these boys deserve justice and these jerks were out there causing all kinds of problems before this crime even happened.
