Denise is still missing. A search was conducted, but nothing was found. Weather has hampered efforts to look in certain areas.

The cases where the searches aren't done immediately are so frustrating! I hope whatever happened it was immediate and she didn't suffer while no one could search. So sorry.

New Mexico and Los Angeles authorities located remains that were later confirmed to be Denise. Our hearts are broken, and we are still seeking answers to the many questions surrounding the circumstances of her death. The only thing authorities can confirm is that she was found on the Pueblo of Acoma.

We all want to know what happened to Denise. Right now, we are expecting a report from the New Mexico Medical Examiner and information about future searches, which may provide some answers.

The family appreciates all of the support, sharing flyers, etc. At this time, there is no word yet on cause of death. It is hoped that more searches of the area will bring more information.

New Mexico is a beautiful place, but the environment is not one for disappearing. Many searches were done, by foot, drone, SUV, horses, etc.. and nothing was found until now. When you pass through, take care when stepping out of your car for a walk, to enjoy the scenery.
