Wow, did the man that said he didn't know what he would do to help his kid, know these people are supposed to have murdered two innocent people? If your child is violent and dangerous, helping them hurt more people is immoral. And if they have a gun and are deteremined to escape, someone will/can get hurt.

But how in the world did they get close enough to a prison fence to throw wire cutters into the prison yard and these murderers were able to retrieve them. Arizona must be reeling from this.

Here is more information about the missing dog that belonged to the nice retired Oklahoma couple who were murdered presumably by the Arizona prison escapees. When investigators first arrived on the scene there were three well groomed dogs with tags. One of them ran off and has not yet been located. The other two dogs are back safely with their daughter. There has been rain in the area, so there is some chance the dog is still alive.

The missing dog is a Shih Tzu and is named “Bear”. The dog is black and has white from his chin to his chest area. Last seen 7 miles west of Santa Rosa, NM on I-40 and then four miles north.

Please let’s get the word out on this dog and work to find it.

And another,

U.S. Marshals say escaped inmate, accomplice may be in Arkansas

An escaped Arizona inmate and his fiancee may now be in northwest Arkansas and are suspects in an armed robbery, the U.S. Marshal's Service said.

David Gonzales, the U.S. Marshal for Arizona, says a couple who robbed a store Wednesday morning in Gentry, Ark., fit the description of John McCluskey and his fiancee, Casslyn Welch.

Gentry is in northwest Arkansas, nearly 1,600 miles from the Montana town where the pair was spotted Sunday.

The Benton County Sheriff's Department said it is investigating a robbery of Kut and Curl beauty salon in Gentry. Gonzales said Welch's mother lives in the area, and authorities are trying to get surveillance film from the robbery.

I actually have been expecting this to happen. If I were running from the law I sure would not be where they are reporting they think I am. I would head the opposite direction. They will probably come to Texas and flee over our unprotected border to Mexico. But, I am sure they are watching for them everywhere. jmo

I've been following along and can't believe this. I too think they may be headed for Mexico now, but who in the heck really knows. They must have some help out there, and it seems strange they would rob a place so close to where Mom lived, unless they went to her first and she refused to help them. They are moving at quite a clip when they do move, so everyone needs to be wary. Have they released info on where and what kind of tattoos they have? TIA

This private prison will reel financially from this....I hope the family of the OK couple rightfully sue their butts off.
Atrocious! My God's speed be with all LE in pursuit and keep them safe.

About 4 p.m. Wednesday, police were setting up a perimeter around an area near the salon that was robbed Wednesday morning, police said. They had not taken anyone into custody by that time.

Authorities have set up a command post at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Dawn Hill Road in Gentry, with officers from the Gentry Police Department, the Benton County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals. The Benton County Sheriff's Office helicopter was also being used in the search.

According to this article, Welch's mother lives near Gentry, Arkansas.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/08/1...ive-fiancee-focuses-montana-southwest-canada/

His mother AND X-wife have been arrested for helping them. His fiance's and cousin's mother and I would imagine his aunt? or some relation to them both...lives in Bentonville...a few miles from Gentry. They are also saying they think white supremacy groups maybe helping them. Hope they catch them soon before other innocent people are harmed. If someone is helping them, they aren't providing them with too much cash if they have to rob hair salons.

Fugitive Casslyn Welch has ties to Oklahoma and Arkansas, relatives say.

Relatives say Casslyn Welch was once married to a man from Delaware County in Oklahoma and her mother lives in Arkansas. An Arkansas salon was robbed this morning but the woman and her fiancé accused in the death of an Oklahoma couple are not responsible, a county dispatcher said.

A couple robbed a hair salon in the town, but the owner said the robbers didn't match the fugitives' descriptions.

"I knew her for eight or nine years," said Cotton Welch, Eddie Welch's uncle. "I loved her to death, and she would do anything for me."
Cotton Welch, who lives outside of Jay, described the fugitive as "good as gold."
"This was really a big surprise," Cotton Welch said. "I didn't think she was capable of doing anything like that."
"Sounds like she run a wheel off to me," he said.

Ok, so now that they aren't responsible...I wonder if they are in fact in Arkansas now or if they're still up by the Canada border.

Fugitives' Trail Fades After Arkansas Leads Fizzle

Updated: Thursday, 12 Aug 2010, 4:03 PM MDT

John McCluskey and Casslyn Welch, two of the most wanted fugitives in America, are unpredictable and have long-haul truck driving experience, meaning they are used to driving long distances over short time periods, Fidencio Rivera, chief deputy U.S. Marshal for Arizona, said Thursday. Their route has crossed more than 1,900 miles from their July 30 escape from a medium security prison in Arizona to the last concrete sighting in Billings, Mont., last Friday.

"At this point in time, because they move so quickly and easily, we have no idea," Rivera said. "In two-and-a-half days they could have traversed the entire United States. They can be anywhere."
