The last video of her shows her walking back to her apartment. It stated she had broken up with her "on-off again" boyfriend the night before which is why she slept at the Sleep Inn. Missing Odessa woman found dead in Carlsbad, NM

I've been wrong many times in life but in this case I'm gonna bet no.

So she apparently was struggling with alcohol. Wonder if she abuse other substances? Maybe her reading for being at the hotel?

If you look at my prior post with a link to her TX arrest records her drug charges were under Section 481.115 - Offense: Possession of Substance in Penalty Group 1 or 1-B
Those include

• Cocaine
• Heroin
• Methamphetamine
• Fentanyl
• Codeine
• Opium
• Oxycodone (Ref: Penalty Group 1 of Texas Controlled Substance Penalty Groups.)

However reporting was the reason for her being at the hotel was her breaking up the night before with her boyfrirend, with whom she shared the apartment she was seen on video returning to so I don't think the prior drug charge had any bearing on that in my opinion. She had made the required report of the move to Carlsbad to her probation officer and records were in order there.

The post you quoted said she "also had 2 DUIs". The sentence before that talks about a drug conviction, so, I'm thinking yes, she abused substances other than alcohol. JMO

She recently transferred her supervised probation (for second degree felony drug conviction) from Texas to New Mexico (Carlsbad)

She could've gone to the hotel for a drug deal, maybe. Was her car found at the hotel or her home? If it's at home, my theory is drug deal at sleep inn, gets back in car with purse, heads home to use, but then she gets out without her purse - high so forgets purse?
-just getting out "for a minute" to talk to ex and something bad happens?
-OR she passes away in the vehicle and is moved.

The hotel is right next door to the apartments.
