Circumstances of Disappearance
Joseph (Joe) Roach was last heard from by family December 25, 2016. According to family members, Joe's cell phone was shut off shortly after Christmas and his Facebook profile had no activity. Joe was known to live with a friend in Nambe, NM and drive a brown in color Ford Taurus. The vehicle was recovered, unoccupied at the Santa Ana Star Casino in January of 2017.

What was the relationship Joe had with the 'friend' mentioned in the summary? And why was he living at his friend's place? Was it a friend he had known for a long while?

These are the things that we need for any type of meaningful discussion and investigation. It's sad seeing these missing people write-ups with such scant information, because it guarantees that there will likely never be any updates or leads.

Was he known to ever frequent casinos or the Santa Ana Star? For how long do they keep security footage?

Did / could LE find out more about his phone activity at the time?

Speculation : he drove to the casino, met someone there, left with them.

This isn’t necessarily helpful, but I knew him. Joe was my friend (and crush) in HS. He was smart, funny and cute; straight fire! I really liked him.
Anyway, I moved away and lost contact after 2000. Sometimes I remember those days fondly, but then I return to the present, where Joe’s missing af, where he’s been missing af since 2016, and I’m haunted and I’m shook and I’m so sorry for his fam. I cannot fathom what could have happened.
