CLOVIS, NM (KVII) — A Clovis teenager accused of shooting his friend's parents in exchange for money will stay in jail pending trial.
Police said Zamora confessed to shooting each of them in the head on Dec. 15 while the couple slept in their bed.
Zamora said Darren Munoz hired him to kill his parents and make it look like a robbery.
The night of the murder, Zamora said he walked to the house. The garage door was open and he walked inside.
According to Munoz, Zamora said he hesitated and wasn't sure he was going to go through with it.
After the shooting, Zamora said he "went blank," ran out of the house and back home.
