OT I don't mind ot posts about other trials and I think it's a great way of seeing the next trial I am interested in. Like the lady who wacked her boyfriend in the head and shoulder area a couple of dozen times with a stiletto. I'd like to see how self defense plays out in what looks like out of control rage to me.

Thanks for the information about the Mitchell Young trial. I can only do one at a time. seattlechiquita told us about this one (LC) trial at the end of the Seacat trial.

I do not have the mind power for two at once. Right now I feel like I am physically and emotionally at this LC trial.

O/T Are any of you going to watch the hearing for Arias tomorrow? or at least what part they will show?

I watched TC's dad testify. I love that man. Somebody said 'quiet strength' and I do believe it has probably taken a lot of control for him not to let loose on LC. I compare him to the likes of Michael Peterson of the Staircase Murder fame. He had 4 kids--2 bio sons and 2 daughters he raised after he murdered their mom. He is a 🤬🤬🤬, which is the very nicest thing I can say about him. He was so arrogant and self assured, an 🤬🤬🤬, throughout his murder trial....and his children all sat directly behind him each day knowing he was a horrible person yet they loved him so much. They still profess his innocence. TC's dad loved his daughter, was willing to do anything within his power to help make her life, and the lives of her children good again. My heart just breaks for him. What a contrast in fathers.

I probably won't. I have mustered up the strength, thus far, not to get pulled into that trial. I still don't know why they didn't skip the actual trial and just seat a jury for the penalty phase.

I feel the same CJ. I have invested myself in this trial and can't turn loose now. I'm sure the other one will a good one though. I must say if Serna gets on his bandwagon as a daily habit I may have to change my mind. I honestly have never disliked a defense attorney as much as I do him.

Because the constitution says everyone needs a trial.

Yes, but she confessed to murdering him. That was no surprise.

I know, it makes me sick. I am not sure if the State of NC will prosecute him again, he is looking bad and old. Prison didn't do him any favors. The Dwayne Deaver mess with the NC state's crime lab is solely responsible for the his being out of prison and who knows how many more may be let out due to Deaver's lying. I watched a Dateline or 20/20 docu a couple of weeks ago, all new and current, about Michael Peterson since he's been out and I was shocked by the way he looked....like he was already dead and still walking around.

But not felony murder. She said self defense. had the state accepted her idea of pleading guilty to 2nd degree murder then no trial would have happened. However since there was plenty of evidence to show first degree and she wasn't interested in pleading guilty to that, off to trial it went.

Oh, this whole Deaver mess and his self-serving need for self-gratifying, self-importance, inserting himself where he didn't need to be for dramatic effect like he was in a true crime novel starring himself makes me so mad I could just spit...

My earphones really help with the hearing issue. I am reading on WS then I hear the prosecutor and Serna all of a sudden arguing. What the hey?

Absolutely. So stupid and there are people in the Durham area who believe it.

Oh, yes, and what there are feathers now, and the injuries are from the talons? I saw whatever you saw East, I think, and they interviewed local people who had also been attacked by owls. I hate to admit it, but the whole thing worries me if they do retry him.

We're back in action.

Here we go with Serna...

At least he didn't claim self defense. I just can't believe that he was let out. :( I do hope they try him again.....and that he is convicted again.
