Ok so now I get it, the APD fired him because they thought Perea lied but maybe Perea proved that he did not lie somehow. Serna has to dig deep for alibis in this case and I guess it is better for the state if Perea does plead the fifth. IMHO

I noticed that too--maybe it's just between SErna and the attorney for Perea? Still seems like the prosecution should be allowed to be back there too.

I can't do it. I feel like for me personally and my feelings it is walking into a wasps nest. I have never felt like that towards a trial before and I don't know exactly why I feel that way but I follow like I did with JA from a far distance.

I was wondering too bc the tweet says just Perea and his attorney so maybe they just stepped out to talk strategy but who knows.... I am just thinking out loud.

Defense also says #LeviChavez' demeanor in the video deposition is not the best, would prejudice jury that way too

Whatever you are saying must be the same way I feel too. I have a gut feeling that several things just aren't right with the entire situation. I got a live feed message this morning from one of the news agencies that opening arguments were going to begin, with the live feed link, and I just deleted the email. I will catch whatever the news has each night but that's all I want.

I agree. But everything else in this trial has been wonky so McKay and the female ADA not being in attendance is par for the course.

For me it seemed pretty straight forward but the race card has been played up that IMO it has turned into a power keg. When that movie producer Lee almost got the wrong, elderly couple with the last name of Zimmerman almost lynched I lost a lot of my sympathy for the unruly thugs that would hurt an old couple.
