The accused could never make a living writing crime novels or TV shows

Or acting. His chanel 9 interview video sends me off every time I watch it. :floorlaugh:

the Three Gentlemens agreements in no way mean that the agreements were between gentlemen..

it merely describes the sort of loan.. not the gender, or the person or organisation that lent him the money.

it could be an elderly aunt, a lovesick and silly middle aged woman, a ridiculous lottery winner, a person of faith who may have taken out a loan for the amount to lend Gerard... a relative with dementia... a oh you get my drift. ......

Hello I am a new poster although a long time reader. He is so done. Poor Allison and kids.

I have an out of the box thought. What if Allison set him up. Perfect payback for his affair.

????? You've lost me.

Are you suggesting he's been framed - by Allison?

I am just wondering about the 3 Gentlemen (:banghead:) Agreements, and J. Frost: would that be Jack Frost? :floorlaugh:

How stupid is this person? I hope QPS are able to track down the real people behind these aliases (if they exist). Pleeeeease! :rolleyes:

J.Frost is Jocelyn Frost, his former business associate. She must be kicking herself that she loaned him that money.

copied from channel 10......
$275,000 3 gentlemens agreements
$200,000 j frost
$90,000 b bassingthwaighte
$75,000 ceo century 21 aust
$58,000 parents
$15,000 franchise fees century 21 aust
$45,000 credit card debt

As someone said earlier that if franshise fees aren't paid then probably the staff superannuation and group tax haven't been paid.

The other interesting thing is that they haven't talked about bank debt. I'm sure these are unsecured creditors and that he would have taken a bill of sale over the business to secure a bank loan or overdraft.

The other thing intriguing is that it is almost as if a creditors meeting has been held and Channel 10 got documents. Where did they get these figures?

ok been trying to post a screen shot of the breakdown Channel 10 showed re the money, wont let me, so here is what it showed:
$275,000 in 3 Gentlemen agreements
$200,000 to J Frost
$ 90,000 to B Bassingthwaite
$ 75,000 to CEO of Century 21 Australasia
$ 58,000 to his parents
$ 15,000 Franchise fees to Century 21
$ 45,000 Credit card debt....

Thanks amandaton1 and others who've posted all the info and links to news reports today. You are a fantastic, talented, caring bunch :rocker:

Yes, this list of money owing just confirms the guy's narcissistic character IMO...He could con not only women but also supposedly hard-headed business people.

That's what narcs do...

I am sure that a few of the detectives have been working on this angle. I still think it is only the tip of the iceberg after doing the searches on ASIC last week.

Jubilee...I had a weird thought today also..and it was along this type of line you bring up...but it was intense and I kind of stepped back from it. I could imagine (only because I have felt that same hurt and that same hate from someone who has stopped loving you when you still love them..a long time ago now)
Ok, well, I could imagine Allison having an INTENSE hurt and anger and I've posted about this a few times, tentatively and hopefully respectfully, towards both GBC and TM. That night, I can almost see her pain (hard to explain) but i can relate and imagine her distress..I can imagine her being the one that drove down Brookfield Road at 11pm erratically.

So when you suggest that she may have been irrational, hurt, and maybe tried to set them up to 'show them' in her angst etc...its something that I would like to discard vehemenently, but a teeny tiny part of me has allowed that thought to come through.
My point here is not to encourage this, to invite it, or to even consider for a minute that this could have happened. I respond to this post to first acknowledge that your thought you have had COULD have passed through her mind at some time (easily IMO) and also, I congratulate your bravery on making this comment here. I don't see it as an attack on Allison, I see it as a part of human nature (to feel this anguish, not to act on it)

My Favourite Dr Watson,

I hope I didn't overlook something important before..I shall read your links as soon as... as usual, though, I have pressing matters involving Wolverine, a missing football boot, and 3 missed phone calls!! thank god my thermomix is cooking up a delicious butter chicken whilst i am away from the kitchen!

So I do not have any resources available to me whatsoever!!! but I thought (hoped) we might have a new informative poster here on websleuths, by way of 'Watkins'

ahhhh, never mind...discombobulated now

Where can I get a thermomix? Sounds like a good thing to have - does it cook humble pie???:floorlaugh:

Does anyone know what they mean by

Crown prosecutor Danny Boyle said while the evidence against Baden-Clay was largely circumstantial

Also i'm very surprised he only didn't get bail because of being a flight risk??
Wouldn't they have a way of taking the passport (if he has one)

And another thing

A post-mortem examination of Allison Baden-Clay's body revealed no external injuries except a chipped tooth, Mr Davis said.

"There is no evidence of the cause of death, there is no real evidence of the geographic location of the death, and there is no evidence that places my client at the bridge (near where Allison's body was found)," he told the court.

There was also no evidence of a weapon and no evidence that Baden-Clay had left home on the night of his wife's disappearance, he said.

Does anyone think there is more than one person involved ??

Also i seen in one of the reports (which i would need to find the link for) that is was TM's idea for GBC to leave Allison by july 1st

Now that we know he made a phone call to his father that NBC is now involved by default...

I'd be very very surprised in fact, I would be utterly and unreasonably staggered to learn that Olivia knew nothing about these debts....

but thats just cynical me.

I don't think Olivia knows that much at all. IMO she's a very naive woman.

I'm concerned about this whole "circumstantail" thing. Do you think he'll be able to focus on this during the trial and manage to get away with it? I thought what the police have would be far more than circumstantial.

I also agree, he could have gone bankrupt and acted all sad n sorry... what a hero to choose the murder option. Maybe if his deadline was 1st July he needed to act fast or he'd loose someone very special to him. Well, here's the news Gerry... I think she's already lost.

I would assume that it was part of what was put up by the prosecution towards motive. Other channels also went to air with the total amount owed- just no the break up of it(at least & didn't, not sure on 9)

Dear Angel
To repeat the question Makara asked earlier 'what do you think?', or what are you telling your partner when he says that?

I don't tell him anything because i don't work at the court and don't understand the case myself. He is reading everything online on his own computer but keeps asking me questions. And i only posted this once but everytime i come back in it comes up again. I will have to scan my computer again incase there is a virus. Because i have only left the message once and the same message has come up heaps of times ??? Also i answered the message Makara left not long after i seen it on here.

If that's the case, she's sure to have a change of heart pretty soon I reckon.

I just spent ten minutes typing out a big argument for GBC, FROM THE ANGLE OF THE DEFENSE...only to reach the point in my argument where he makes a phone call to his father, whilst he was supposedly sleeping soundly throughout the night. This kind of puts a halt to EVERYTHING... mostly what is facing him is circumstantial, it appears at this point...but the phone call, I cant find a way around that one

I agree that this is the biggest stumbling block for GBC! I think this is what the prosecutor meant by "compelling" :)

Without coming across as a snob, please don't use Wikipedia as a reliable source. My background dictates Wiki as the public toilet - you never know who's been there before you. It's unfortunate that in 'Google' searches it lands at the top. It's crud.
Wow, re: the creditors list. Wow, just wow. Given that information - and ABC surely would have been aware - I'm now part of the pack that think the trust fund is a little off (i.e. for the children's private school education). If your financial situation is that dire, you would rethink your whole financial being. Some public and Catholic schools offer sound educational experiences. I do understand you get what you pay for, but if you're in THAT much debt, your goals for your children's education needs to be rethought. I think they were both living way beyond their means. GBC can't totally be blamed for that.

BBM
Whatever, it was better than nothing at short notice and I thought that poster needed a bit of help that was fairly easy to understand.
