No Search or New Posts?

  • #21
weird 'cause the 'new posts' feature works for me but 'post a new thread' does not (at least in the poll forum where I wanted to put up a new poll)

also, there are many times when I think I'm seeing double because the font on WS is somehow duplicating (sorry I don't know how to explain it in techy terms)

Do we know when the search feature is coming back?

I'm still having trouble with "Search"...even tho I choose "Descending", the posts do not show up in date-sorted order. Also, on Kelli Bordeaux' thread (Missing Forum Discussion forum), I tried "Search Thread" several times for "justin"...a name referred to by several posts, but the search turned up zero posts.

The results keep turning up zero results for me too.

Mine may have just been a case-sensitive issue (no capital letter in the name), as it seems to work just now. But usually I try both if nothing comes up the first time.

I am having issues with the search too.

I am having problems too. When David Berkowitz brings up no results you know there is a problem.

The search feature still isn't working properly. We are aware. It looks like that in order to fix it, we are going to have to close the site down for a couple of hours at some point. We have not received word as to when that will happen yet.

Another search issue (in case it's not known): regarding 4-letter word searches...I did a Thread Search for "self" and found nothing...got the error msg with several possible reasons. The only one applicable was "too common". Yet I searched for "four" and got results. The thread had occurences of both.

Does it work with a global list of "too common" words, or does it really mean "too many occurences in this thread"? TIA...

Just my :twocents: to the forum "fixer":

I subscribe to the ad-free pages, but I notice that on occassion I see the last ad wa-a-ay down at the bottom of the page; sometimes its just the partial ad. Script error somewhere? Not that it bothers me. . .

And the thanks buttons work maybe 50% of the time, which causes people to refresh more often, so they can thank a post.
