Northampton Clown terrorizes English town with creepy appearances

After reading the article, I don't understand if he gets that people are not going to see him as benevolent after the pics and comments he's posting on Facebook. Am I the only one that thought it creepy? I think we have a bipolar clown here.....

Mirror:

Northampton Clown: Mystery circus man now hunted by rival Clown Catcher
One resident has created a spin-off character to hunt him down and as more flock to fancy dress shops, who will appear next?

---
[The Clown] has an official Facebook page - with over 60,000 likes - and has divided opinion. Some residents find the Clown terrifying, others funny.

Setting up his own Facebook page, at just over 1,000 likes, the Clown Catcher identifies himself as Boris.

"My name is Boris. I am the official clown catcher. I am not here to scare anyone. I am not here to hurt anyone. I come in peace!"
---
much more, with pictures, at the link

I think it is hilarious! I "follow" Northampton Clown on FB. My husband is creeped out by clowns as so many people are. I wonder if Pennywise started the clown phobia?? Probably goes way back.

Maybe I need to move to the U.K. They have clowns and superheros roaming the streets, and Oompa Loompas in bars. I live in the dreary U.S. and never see anything as such.

I have no idea where the fear of clowns came from. I know my sister feared them after she read "It" at age 12 or so, I never read it or saw the film. Can't say I would approach any of the street clowns, oh wait, I did when I went to New Orleans once, but everyone was doing all sorts of street entertaining there. Now that was fun!

Hope he's not going to drag someone into the sewer or something. That book is one of my fave's.... but only in a "that can't happen in real life" kind of way! I would seriously have a heart attack if I ran into something like that in the dark.

What a shame he was receiving death threats. Nice he is donating money from proceeds to charity and visited a terminally ill child.

Finally found "It" online and watched yesterday. As usual it is a Stephen King bit of psychology/philosophy, but not at all scary as it is fiction. It simply means your fears are created in your own mind.

Sad he has to stop, but I suppose the gig had run the gamut anyhow. Maybe he can think up a new gig, one not related to a Stephen King thriller, and do more good with his free time, generate some happiness and donations to charity or terminally ill children funds.

In some of his photos, he does have pointed teeth. Walking around in a scary costume because he enjoys scaring people is sadistic. What other mental problems does he have? Scary.

I hope the Clown Catcher's Doberman finds him. :D Mean people suck.
