I'm not sure about that...
You're absolutely right, I've just seen the whole clip and it's as you describe (and it may raise many new questions with that timetable).
I was just cheerful and actually stupid. I'm just getting used to people being more serious here at the forum than what I'm used to. Such a rubbish should not take your time, I should have investigated myself. I tighten up or stop posting....:(

Nothing new

On Tuesday, Nordland police district police announced in a press release that there is nothing new to report about today's police investigation, into missing Arjen Kamphuis.

"We are still working on following up tips and conducting various investigative steps, without giving a closer look at details about these, it reads.

The police will today make further land searches with the use of dogs in the area near where items were found that the police believe belong to missing.

"The reason for doing searches in this area is because we want to make sure there are no other items from the missing man in this area," said the press release.

The police have received a further 12 tips after Åsted Norway's programme yesterday, Monday, September 17, 2018. These are followed in line with other received tips.

"The matter is extensive to investigate, and police investigation is still geared to our three main hypotheses; namely, missing may have been exposed to an accident, may have been subjected to a criminal act or he may wish to not be found. This means that we investigate widely and openly and still keep all opportunities open, the police in Nordland write in the press release.

In this article here: 100 tips om savnet nederlender: – Aldri opplevd så mye trykk i en slik sak
it says that it has only been one cargo ship in Rognan after 20. august and: "According to a search, NRK has done at Kystverket's digital mapping service, Kystinfo, there was a ship to the port. The cargo ship sailing under the Dutch flag left Rognan on Friday, August 24th at 17.56. Then the ship sailed south along the Norwegian coast, past Stavanger, before it went into Bremerhaven in Germany on 29 August. The police do not want to confirm the ship's name". (translated by google translate).
Indeed the ship they are referring to was at the port of Rognan in the days after August 20th:
Communications Director Trude Larstad in Nexans Norway told NRK Monday that there has been only one ship to Port of Rognan in the days after 20 August.

But what about the ship the eye witness was referring to? That ship was at the port on August 20.
Couldn´t that ship have left Rognan on the 20th or 21st of August (before or after midnight)?

If cables were being loaded on a ship, I assume the ship would have left very soon after instead of waiting 4 days. Surely the loading wouldn´t have taken 4 days .....

It could be that they had some time to spare or other proceedings that needed to take care off (permits business appointments) maintenance ship ...

Usually cargo ships remain as short as possible in a port. Their time is used for loading and unloading.

If the witness has seen dockworkers/personnel loading the ship, then the ship would have departed short after. Custom papers should have been ready before the load was hauled aboard.

This makes a lot more sense regarding the theory that AK went on a cargo ship. Why would he go on a ship that would sit in the harbor 4 more days? Now to find the ship!

The ship was supposed to sail to Stavanger, whereas the Beautrophy did not.

The witness said that Arjen approached the dockworkers while he was carrying his luggage and soon after he left the dockworkers without his luggage. Was his luggage hauled on board?

Finally, a police dog!

But why on land, and not on the sea? Has there been a very high tide or a storm in the area since? I find this very strange. You would expect to see a dog there if someone was lost in the bushes.

My theory (one of many) would be that he put his luggage in the kayak too. Depending on the size of the other bag, which is unknown for the moment, the bag would fit OR he would have to unpack and spread items through the hull. This would also distribute the weight. For some reason unknown the kayak flips over, maybe it was unstable due to the luggage. Arjen can't get out and the weight pulls the kayak under water. There is still some air in in, so it floats under the surface. After a while, the kayak hits a rock or something, gets loose and surfaces, together with the items that float: the paddle and the ID plus other stuff that is kept in a floating bag.
That is why this stuff was found in the same area around the same time, but not earlier. Everything that is heavy remains on the bottom of the fjord and gets carried away by the undercurrent.

In the Kim Wall case, sniffer dogs found her remains with the help of an oceanologist, he calculated the distance based on the currents from the point where the dogs first hit, and there the remains were found. On the bottom of a deep, deep sea.

This theory seems to imply either that AK threw the kayak fully assembled with floating id container over the edge of the deck as they left port or the ship personnel did. No one has reported seeing him launching that kayak from land at any time and it was rainy and windy that day.
