What's next hopscotch? Kids may use those "small pieces" of sticks, pebbles, chalk to OMG throw at each other.

I guess all these kids can do is walk around in circles in the playground, but OMG one might trip. Better yet, keep them safe and sound, tied to their desk, safe indoors, and forgo recess.

Please, these are kids......the only time I heard from the school with my kids is if one of them had to go to the hospital or banged their head.

Plenty of bandages....ice packs.........scrapes and cuts.....its part of being an "active" kid.

OMG: again, I could not believe this story when it came over on the news.

At first I really thought it was a poor joke and if not, then the people behind this ridiculous concept are literally bored out of their brackets!! Your statement that I emboldened, CyberLaw, reminds me of Barbara Walters very recent trip to North Korea: her comments along the lines of the NK kids were 'eerily similar'.

Way back in early communist China, kids from as young as 2 or 3 were treated like toy-soldiers or mini-robots - identical and lined up to "operate" according to the government's ideals! In both countries, there appeared no effervescence of natural joy - no hapless delight in simply being a child and accepting growing pains on the playground as much as in their little bodies. (Loved deespoohbear's comparison!)

Goodness, just look at kittens playing their feline form of 'tag', when they jump and dive, bounce, pounce and chase one another. Perfectly natural in all animals (living species, actually) and these early games also set about equally basic essences of human interaction and social skills

WHAT next?
