The gunman's companion Marilou Danley has been detained and her raided by police following the Las Vegas attack that left 50 dead and 200 more injured.

Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said detectives had found the woman, who he described as Asian, 4 foot 11 inches tall and weighing 111 pounds (50 kg).

"She believed to be an Australian citizen of Indonesian heritage."

According to this, Paddock was not a veteran so he must have learned to handle weapons elsewhere.

Also Danley is being described as an Australian citizen of Indonesian origin, though the Aussies have yet to confirm this.

Watching the sheriff's PC right now. Will be clearing the perp's residence, make sure there are no explosives. Public can donate blood if they want.

FBI has been on the case from the start, helping out.

ETA: Sheriff says at this time it's not considered terrorism.

He was in the room at the Mandalay since Sept. 28.
