How do we even know any of this is true and the employees aren't confusing someone else for those two? Supposedly he recently transferred a large amount of money to Philippines.

Yeah I’m taking that account with a grain of salt. The barista made it seem like this was a regular occurrence. I don’t see why she’d ask for the card multiple times only to keep getting berated.

Some people like inserting themselves into tragedies. JMO

Sorry, but the FBI, ATF, state and local LE seem to have this situation under control. They're doing a great job as they are. Haven't heard in the news media of any requests for out of state LE volunteers to come to town and help out. Can you think of any reason why large numbers of out of state LE would feel the need to volunteer their services without anyone asking?

For the same reason that any of us want to go help. The same reason people are waiting in line to donate blood while others are making sandwiches for them. The same reason people are volunteering to go to PR and the USVI right now.

According to the LA Times article at the link, the couple came to that Starbucks frequently. It was located inside a casino near their home in Mesquite, NV. He usually paid for drinks with his credit card, so they would have the opportunity to see his name.

I really don't think he'd be transferring large amounts of money to Philippines if she left him.

As per the press conference this evening no one is certain he sent that 100k.

I highly doubt baristas look at the names on credit cards. They swipe and you sign. JMO.

Who do they think send it?

They are prob backtracking bc either 1) they don’t want to scare the gf into not coming back to the US - which I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she doesn’t come back at this point or 2) that info shouldn’t have been released to the public in the first place at the time

I think it’s crossing Ts, dotting Is, CYA etc

BBM is what I think. They suspect it but no one has checked his accounts yet, in the meantime someone blabbed to the media and it's getting passed around like it's a known fact. I think the source in this case was labeled "someone close to the investigation" so who knows how much that person is actually allowed to know.

I dont think this had anything to do with him losing money. I think he had carefully planned this out for maybe even months. He was spending his money as he wanted because he knew he wasn't going to be here to spend anymore. I even think in his own twisted way he may have used her player's card so he could build up her comps for the future.

This man had been a high roller for years. They are use to losing money and winning a lot of money.

I think he sent his girlfriend thousands for the same reason. He knew he wouldn't be here to give her the lavish lifestyle he had given her. That is IF that is where the money was going and she wasn't passing it on to someone else. I am glad that the Sheriff is back to calling her a POI. How could she not see over 40 firearms in the home she lived in with him or the bomb making material? He didn't just start buying all of these weapons right before he did the massacre.

One thing the Sheriff said today in the afternoon PC that jumped out to me and he mentioned they had to checkout if he had been radicalized. (paraphrasing) I just thought it was odd that he mentioned that.

I don’t see the big deal with having all of those guns. I am anti gun, but plenty of people on WS have talked about how many guns they have.

This guy was rich. Lived high off of the hog. 40guns? So what.

Bomb making materials? Why would she guess anything about that? Are people familiar with bomb making materials?

True. I donated today because I'm 0 neg. As John Rich said, "You know it's not one party or the other party. It's America." (para)

I do think it’s been checked and is likely legit but it shouldn’t have been leaked to the public. I imagine his accounts have been thoroughly checked at this point.

I wouldn’t think anything of fertilizer like MSM reported was found in his car. However I’d be suspicious/curious about so many firearms if I knew about all of them. According to neighbors there was a safe the size of a fridge in their garage. I’d be curious what was in it and would make my SO open it for me to see what’s inside. But maybe they had a “don’t ask questions” policy. It wouldn’t be the first or last couple to not ask questions if it doesn’t directly effect them at the time. Ignorance is bliss.

Maybe SHE did? Who knows! I doubt it's just a rumor.
