My husband is a gun enthusiast so I just know most of this secondhand, but the ammo would've been incredibly expensive - how expensive would depend somewhat on the brand quality. Some manufacturers make much cheaper ammo than others.

You actually have to remove the original stock of the gun and install the bump stock. My husband has one on one of his guns and he let me look at it. Then I told him to get it out of my house! [emoji19]

They don't come with cases. Most people don't purchase cases for every gun, just keep a few and put them in there for transport.

.223 can be relatively cheap, depending on where you buy it and how much you buy. Military surplus ammo is a favorite, and it's widely available and pretty inexpensive per round when buying in bulk. You'd probably be looking at $200-$250 per thousand rounds. Maybe not cheap to someone who doesn't shop ammo a lot, but it's definitely one of the cheaper rifle rounds.

Some rifles do come in cases, especially the more expensive ones. A lot of handguns come in cases. I would just ascribe him not using cases to the fact he was trying to be discreet, and an AR-15 (or three) can be broken down easily and packed in a small suitcase.

I'm not sure how that is going to help? The guns didn't kill people~~SP did. If someone is going to try to kill people, they are going to do it using any type of weapon they can. Timothy McVeigh didn't need a gun to kill in OKC. The 9/11 terrorist used box cutters and planes. Terrorists used vehicles to mow down people in England. The problem is not the guns, its the people. What about all those people using 3D printers to print guns? How does making them illegal solve the problem? Criminals will find a way, where there is a will. So the question really should be~~How do we identify these people BEFORE they go on a rampage?

Sometimes I wonder if it is a conscious dieting trick -- if an hour passes before you are done ordering then that is one less hour to be hungry cause one is talking about food which is almost as much fun as consuming it -- and talking about food does nothing to ones waistline !!

He stopped firing about an hour before they breached the suite. The actual shooting "only" lasted around 10 minutes, which was when the security guard got involved. There wasn't any more shooting after that, which is why the ad-hoc police team took their time setting up and making entry (he wasn't actively shooting anymore).

High end golf balls if you wanted to show off you could place it on the tee where the branding is easily seen ha !

Higher-end bullets will just be manufactured more consistently with consistent loads. Some will be gimmicky, some have a steel core. Mainly when you talk expensive ammo, you're just talking hunting ammo, which is just manufactured to a higher standard to ensure the best accuracy possible. Wouldn't make a difference to a dude spraying with a bump stock.

The parachute is in case of emergencies and is manually deployed. I'm not sure what bearing that has on intentionally crashing a plane.

Probably making it downstairs, getting his car, driving somewhere, planting explosives, driving somewhere else, shooting the explosives to blow them up, etc. Just not very feasible with the police response. He would have had to have super powers to be able to pull it off, is how I took it.

Well the "distancing" has begun, Employees at local businesses in Mesquite have been told not to talk to the press about SP's
patronage of their establishments!! One employee of Dominos was suspended for mentioning SP was a frequent customer.
(Yes, the reporters actually mention Dominos by name. Once heard, can not be unheard.)
And the hair cutting place making sure they tell everyone that KB hasn't worked for them for 2 months....so what? She is still entitled to remember encounters with her customers. They are probably just p.o.'d that they can not silence or intimidate her with loss of her employment. Geesh....Here we have the FBI and local police asking for the public's help in trying to follow SP's activities, and people are being pressured by employers not to speak!!! I don't like it....I get it, but I still don't like it.

The corporations don't want their brand name to be associated with mass murder. The security company I worked with threatened staff to not speak to LE, LIE and cover your . They refused to help in several rape and a murder case.
