Yes, I know that, but this is web sleuths and I'm wondering why they wouldn't want to disclose what was on the note and why they would lie about the check-in date and say it was the 28th instead of the 25th.
Any thoughts?
Actually, I do have a thought on this. And it is only my opinion from the information we have been given.
In the beginning, it was stated he was checked into a room under his girlfriend's name. It also said he checked in on Sept. 28. Then, we started seeing receipts and valet things or whatever saying he was there on the 24 or 25. I am guessing he might have originally checked in under his own name. Then, after a few days, he checked out and checked in under his girlfriends name. Or possibly changed rooms. So, at the beginning of the investigation, they saw the check in date. It wasn't until looking further that they discovered he had actually been there longer.
I cannot tell you the amount of times a family member will come and tell us something and things change, as you discover information. Lets just say my niece fell down in the back yard and broke her arm. The story was she was riding her bike, hit the fence and broke her arm. That's the story. But, after talking to the other people out there, we find out that a nephew hit her tire with a stick. New version, same outcome. No one was lying, just additional details. Then, after looking into it more, someone finds a piece of stick lodged up in her tire. The stick didn't hit the tire, it actually went into the spoke and flipped the bike. Still no lying, just better information with time and investigation and interviewing. I 1 million percent think this is what is happening here.
It hasn't even been a week! And somehow all the details were supposed to be both know AND released to the public to scrutinize. I don't need to make this any worse than it is. Its a dude who shot a whole lot of bullets into a crowd of very innocent people. No lies needed. Its bad. I don't see a reason the police would be "lying". Give them a bit of a break. Unless after time and an official investigation has been concluded and things don't seem right. It's super unfair, in my opinion.
