They are known as "auto-hoaxers". I don't think they are filled with hate and intolerance. I just think they really do believe all major events like this are faked.

But then what explains their actions toward the victims? Harassing them online, making death threats, stalking them.. even if they truly believe the events are fake they don't have to be actively hateful. If they really believe the people are actors that still doesn't justify how they go after them.

He took a bullet to the head in Las Vegas. Now, online conspiracists call him a faker

FWIW, Brandon is in BC, and this morning Paul Johnson, one of our Global News reporters, was talking about how he had visited Brandon in hospital and seen the hole in his head that the bullet had made.

BC's young Jordan McIldoon was killed in the massacre.

Another young man from BC, Sheldon Mack, son of one of our BC news anchors, shot twice

IMO, it is absolutely unconscionable that anyone is trying to make this very real tragedy out to be some huge conspiracy.

Hey, Sillybilly . I totally agree with you! I have absolutely no questions or doubts that these precious people were injured, as well as way too many lost their lives. Its so unjustifiable, inexcusable and unbelievably tragic.
As for myself, whatever questions I have are strictly to do with the who, how, and why. I do realize my opinion may not be popular with some though, but I’m ok with that as well. I’m just taking it all in, IYKWIM.

Maybe you're not aware of hateful threats that some of the victims have been subjected to?

“You are a lying piece of s--- and I hope someone truly shoots you in the head,” one person wrote to Matejka on Facebook in the days after the worst shooting in modern U.S. history."

Another wrote: “Your soul is disgusting and dark! You will Pay for the consequences.”

-Anything we can do to thwart the dark matters...big or small. Its disappointing that MGM isn’t doing more for the victims of this tragedy. Confusion is a breeding ground for more confusion. Its the opposite to ‘order’...and an easier target for the dark to access the vulnerable. In my opinion the endless lack of order from MGM-LE-FBI is greatly contributing to it. It could be far different for the victims if the collective goal was for their best interest.

-Sure there will always be conspiracy theorist but the tighter we stand for truth a difference can be made.

The conspiracy theorists also claim they're wanting the "truth", too.

So what is your theory of what happened? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't seem to believe that Paddock did it. IMHO, he did, but what do the CT folk think happened?

Yea, I guess I was speaking about these auto-hoaxers in general. The ones who take it to a level of harassing the victims probably are filled with hate.

Agree, they're hateful, dangerous people being manipulated by scam artists and corporations who make a profit from their ignorance. They stalk and threaten victims to an extreme degree. Weren't there some who were arrested for harassing the poor parents of the children killed at Sandy Hook? It was alleged the Sandy Hook CT attackers were being spurred on by the NRA.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sandy-...yn-kellys-interview-with-conspiracy-theorist/

A year ago, a New York City man who was a follower of Jones was sentenced to probation after approaching a sister of slain Sandy Hook teacher Victoria Soto during a charity road race and angrily claiming the shootings never took place. On Facebook, Soto's family said the "incessant need for ratings at the cost of the emotional well-being of our family is disgusting and disappointing. You should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this behavior."

http://www.latimes.com/nation/nationnow/la-na-florida-sandy-hook-hoax-20161207-story.html

A Florida woman has been charged with making death threats against the parent of a child killed in the Sandy Hook school massacre because she thought the attack was a hoax, federal authorities announced Wednesday.

Lucy Richards, 57, of Tampa was arrested Monday after a grand jury indictment on four felony counts of transmitting threats, the U.S. Justice Department said in a statement.

A year ago, Pozner and his ex-wife called on Florida Atlantic University to fire a professor that the couple said taunted them with blog posts about the Sandy Hook massacre being staged.

"The heartache of burying a child is a sorrow we would not wish upon anyone. Yet to our horror, we have found that there are some in this society who lack empathy for the suffering of others. Among them are the conspiracy theorists that deny our tragedy was real. They seek us out and accuse us of being government agents who are faking our grief and lying about our loss," they wrote in an opinion piece published by the Sun Sentinel.

The professor was fired in January, and he is now suing FAU for violating his constitutional rights.

These people are filled with hate, but they also likely have mental illness that makes them a threat to the safety of others. Like any other criminal, they need to be punished and watched by LE to make sure they don't try to harm others.

Those are the people I think Betty P was speaking about in her comment. That's how I took it anyway - not all of them are spiteful and cruel. How on earth do people get to that place. What is wrong with them?

I don't think it is necessary to refer to those who have a differing opinion as conspiracy theorists. it automatically dismisses their point of view without actually trying to understand their point of view.
In fact, in my case, it is not even a differing opinion. I just haven't formed an opinion yet. Some people just have questions. Some people just have a healthy suspicion that there is more to the story.
It is not fair to lump us in with Conspiracy nuts harassing people and whatnot.

Well.. I think the ones who go to the level of harassing victims it's either they are cruel people and/or paranoid.

While there are many unanswered questions, some answers to questions that cause me to raise an eyebrow, and some strange circumstances, the basics of the few conspiracy theories I’ve read related to this case… make no sense. They don’t “fit”... there is no logical “working puzzle”.

I consider myself a reasonable skeptic… which also applies to the CT’s.

Finally, the worst of the worst are the “fake/denier” theories... the most cruel.

All jmo.

I suspect a strong correlation between gun owners and conspiracy theorists. I think they're afraid somebody's going to take away their gunny wunnies if the truth is accepted.

Excuse me asking, but it seems like we're splitting hairs here. What is your point? What are you trying to say? TIA
My point is I'd like to know why he is considered to be a "sniper". He sure doesn't fit the profile IMO. Robust,. Etc. He's a guy on a high floor shooting guns.. Not sure why he's suddenly earning this title of "sniper". A sniper IMO is a highly trained individual. So if they are branding him with this title I'd like to know who he was trained by? And when?

You might be thinking of a sniper in the context of military action. But the word also has a more general definition:

sniper noun [ C ]

someone who shoots at people from a place where they cannot be seen:

I agree 100% -- I've never understood how anyone can honestly believe that a tragedy of this magnitude never happened. I mean... what do THEY believe went down? Do they think the government (or whomever) just shot off a bunch of blanks, hired 500+ actors to play the roles of injured victims, and created 59 fake identities to account for the deceased? What about the family members who have spoken to the media about their deceased loved ones? Were they hired actors, too? That's a crap ton of people the government must entrust with some very sensitive information, and the risk of doing so could very well prove to be catastrophic, for not only the US but the entire free world.

Of what's been released about Paddock - his lifestyle, his age, his character, his yearn to be served and pampered, his egotistical personality, his drive for control - do you for a moment think he was the type of person who would be willing to sacrifice his life on behalf of anything that takes the focus away from HIM?

He does not fit the brainwashed by ISIS profile whatsoever imo.

  • #116
Sounds like ISIS called for "lone wolf" attacks, but then it can take credit for attacks whether they had anything to do with ISIS or not.

I am not defending CT peeps but I do keep an open mind when it comes to big government & what they are capable of doing and why.
There’s good reason to be inquisitive.
Scandal after scandal....investigation after investigation.

Crikey, we just released the JFK files 50+ years later.

So I say to everyone, question away. Yep. But never harass.

"Question away" to whom? The victims? The onus is on them and their families to prove to a bunch of strangers on the internet that they're not government actors? Am I understanding you correctly?

They dont usually take credit for attacks they have not either inspired or directed. This is unusual.
