Henderson Police Request Public’s Assistance in Ongoing Missing Person Investigation:

On February 19, 2022, the City of Henderson Police Department was called to the 600 block of Pacific Cascades Drive in reference to a missing person, identified as 11-year-old AS.

AS was last seen by family on the evening of February 19, 2022 outside of her residence.

She was wearing a dark short sleeve shirt, purple skirt, black fishnet leggings, and black boots.

AS is about 4 foot 8 inches tall and around 80 pounds; green eyes and black hair with green coloring mixed in.

Henderson Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating AS.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to call the Henderson Police Department 702-267-4911, 3-1-1, Detective Nathan Calvano 702-267-4750, or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit Crime Stoppers website. Tips directly leading to a felony arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward.

I am very worried about this little one. <modsnip> Here is what she was wearing when she ran off:

That really concerns me. Black fishnets and boots, and she wears lots of dark eye make up , but she is only 11 and weighs 80 lbs. She is sooooo vulnerable out there <modsnip>.

I hope someone sees her and reports her to 911 immediately.

That is frightening and it makes sense, because she did seem to be dressed to be meeting up with someone.

Lots of runaways are dressed 'for the road'---dressed comfortably with traveling in mind. If they are wearing sneakers and hoodies and jeans, they are dressed for the bus or train trips, kind of thing.

But she seemed to be dressed for meeting up with someone---probably someone who was picking her up in a car. JMO

I know---she's just a baby. She is 4 ft 8 and weighs 80 lbs. She is only 11, and has been in a global pandemic since she was 9. So that makes her even less socially mature, as are all our young ones right now.

I am so concerned about her. My heart aches.

I've been binge watching those online predator catchers and its appalling how many grown men are online preying on prepubescent children. Best case scenario is that she is hiding out with a little friend.

indeed, when i saw the photo i had to double-check the age at the top of the thread the photos make her seem more like 15/16

11 is very young to be out there all alone playing grown-up, I hope she comes home soon

i think sometimes at that age we went to be all grown up but don't realise just how vulnerable we are

Mom has narrowed down to a five minute window when AS disappeared and has found discord chats of a sexual nature. I really hope the police are all over this.

I don't understand why the FBI CARD team swoops in with tons of resources on some cases with young children (and I consider 11 a young child) and not on others. I've seen full local/federal LE response with 11 year olds but then sometimes, nothing. That poor mother - she is left to find the discord app herself, narrow down the timeframe, etc. The FBI has so many resources with regards to online activities but I've seem local LE do amazing investigations too. What is going here? I hoping the make-up etc, is not causing LE to write this off as a "runaway" or "voluntarily missing" - I don't think there is a state that would consider 11 above the age of consent - so I'm hoping she also isn't old enough to "consent" to be voluntarily missing.

IMO because she is considered a voluntary runaway, certain resources are not being tapped into. I have seen it before and the results were NOT good.

Let's hope that since LE now has the dischord information, the urgency will change, and hopefully not too late.

Isn't Henderson close to Las Vegas?That makes this even more scary (IMO) .

I am really, really holding out hope that this is being handled more aggressively than it is appearing.

FWIW her home is in an upscale subdivision about 12 minutes from Vegas proper. That part of Henderson is very residential and her street not easily found. I would be astounded if some neighbors did not have cameras and have every hope that Henderson Police are investigating. We have a local FBI office but it is rare to see CARD here. Grandma just created a gofundme and she seems to be keeping the story alive in the media so I have hope.

On Saturday, mom and daughter were hanging out like any other weekend. In the early evening, AS went to the park and texted her mom when she was making her way back home.

Mom said when AS came home, she wanted to ride her skateboard outside of her house and it was the last time the mom saw her daughter.

“It wasn’t but five minutes later I opened up the front door and I don’t see her,” the mom said.

The mom said she found AS' skateboard in the middle of the road, but there was no sign of AS.

The mom said she is fearing the worst because her daughter suffers from anxiety and depression and kept to herself. But when AS went missing, the mother went into her daughter’s computer and saw an app called Discord which helped her enable chat rooms with strangers.

“The person was saying things like ‘you are my princess.’ You know a little girl that is starving for attention from her peers wants to hear who has been isolated from society for two years,” the mom said.

Depression is bad enough when your an adult, never mind at 9 yrs. old.

I would've been heartbroken if one of mine had been diagnosed with it at such a young age.
