LAS VEGAS (KOLO) - The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding one of its own.

Metro Police Capt. James Larochelle was last seen Thursday about 2 a.m. in the area of Desert Foothills Drive and West Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas. He was driving a tan 1998 Land Rover with Nevada license plate 592-JBV.

Anyone who knows of Larochelle’s location is asked to call the LVMPD Missing Persons Detail at 702-828-3111 or 702-828-2907.

This is all over the news here in Vegas but I've not seen anything that explains why he's considered "endangered." Hope he's ok.
